Every 1 loss team in top 20 made CFP

I hate the revisionist crap. Miami was supposed to beat this now vaunted, “nfl talented” Louisville team by 14…. Instead Louisville literally dominated Miami. If not for a fumble Miami loses by double digits. I watch a ton of college football, and Louisville isn’t as great as you all are trying to make them seem.

On this board, it’s always some narrative propaganda bull****… and no one uses their eyes. 4 out of the first 5 games there have been issues, and those issues have gotten worse game over game, not better.

The truth is we have two good wins. (and I mean that in the sense of what would the cfp look at). FSU isn’t a good team, UF isn’t good team, and Miami doesn’t play another “good” team the rest of the season. Miami is going to have win out and look dominant doing it, and hope other ACC teams lose, otherwise they’re on the outside looking in.

We aren’t ever allowed to discuss the teams issues on this board. It’s just one big circle jerk while we pretend they will never come home to roost.

Really? Care to show me some posts where people are saying don't look any deeper? Maybe from the Florida or Florida State wins?

There are threads every single week talking about what has to get better. No one is shutting anything down. Are you saying that people shouldn't even be allowed to disagree?

No, we should be allowed to speak freely about what we suck at, even after a win. Maybe this board wouldn’t be so surprised if they opened their eyes beyond the W/l column.

who is the 4th BIG team. PSU was supposed to be that team no other BIG has the resume or the name value. An 11-1 Miami is getting in and a 10-2 Miami biggest concern is a 5th SEC team getting in
 
Last year’s breakdown:

B1G: 4 teams
$EC: 3 teams
ACC: 2 teams
BIGXII: Arizona State
Independent: Notre Dame
non P4: Boise State

One undefeated team from the B1G
3 one loss teams: Boise State, Indiana and Notre Dame
7 two loss teams: 2 conference champions, 3 conference championship game losers, and 2 wildcard bids in OSU & Tennessee
1 three loss team was automatically placed because of the Conference Championship: Clemson

Time and time again; the committee reasoned that we were being slighted [i.e. ‘Bama ranked ahead of us] for not having a signature win. Remember: we were still ranked ahead of Ole Miss & South Carolina but just not Alabama.

The committee used the following formula against us: record against teams currently in the top 25, record against teams over .500; and the fact we lost 2 outta our last 3 on the road to ACC teams not qualifying for the championship game.

I can see us fitting into the pathway that Indiana took; who lost to OSU. Notre Dame won’t be able to rank ahead of us; assuming we both win out.

Conversely, the only P4 loser of a conference championship game that didn’t make the playoffs was Iowa State; who had two losses entering the game compared to only one from the other 3. The only other loss we can take is in the ACC championship game; assuming we make that which is completely up in the air atm w/ Louisville, GT, & UVA controlling their destiny.

Lets revisit after this weekend. Whether those conferences DESERVE the number of teams they will get is another discussion...

Unless ND loses today, they will be in with 2 losses.

You didn’t answer my question whose team 4 that will automatically get in just because they are from the BIG? Dudes have ptsd and forget to recognize that the country already is acknowledging us which is something they didn’t do last year. Last year we had multiple 1 loss teams in front of us even though we were undefeated this year those same people were arguing we should be number one over OSU because of resume. Even with how little they believed in our resume last year we still controlled our own destiny for the ACC and the CFP in the last week of the season all we had to do was win. If and big if. If we don’t **** up again we are in with 11 wins you can word doc this.
