Landing a kid with a grand total of two offers from Columbia and VMI qualifies as f***ing huge nowadays?

From Lawson the stud to this nobody. Smh.

We edged out Columbia and VMI, though, so I guess Lemming was right, Golden is a great recruiter.

You have to look into his story a bit. He really hasn't had much exposure. Kid was injured a lot and didn't get a chance to play much. He broke his thumb his Jr. year but he actually looks pretty good when you see some of his film. 4.0 student. Georgia wanted him to walk on and try for a scholie.

I don't think he's a potential starter, but he looks like he could be the ideal back up QB type. A Ryan Williams type kid.

Considering we got left holding our d*cks with NO QB in this class, and right now might have to field Gray Crow if something happens to Kaaya, yes, I would say this is a pretty good development if true.

Again, the options were holding our d*cks and Gray Crow if Kaaya goes down. Lawson ship sailed. We are f*cked until Golden gets bought out. We NEEDED someone backing up Kaaya. This kid actually looks like he has some potential.

Not like we had many other options at this point.

Lawson isn't coming back. Neither is any other legit QB for this class. Right now we need a kid who may be a serviceable back up for Kaaya if we need one. We have NO depth. The options were ZERO, and this kid. And all things considered, for what is a VERY REAL NEED, this solves a big hole in this class for us.
 
Better than Ryan Williams was out of high school and he turned out fine and could have started here if he wasnt hurt. Not like we are asking this kid to be a starter anyway but it beats the **** out of Gray Crow as a potential backup.

This kid actually reminds me of Williams, tall and lanky not a cannon arm but completes a high % of passes. could have done better but for a guy that should never be more than a backup.. I'll live with it
 
Maybe he wont, but he's worth taking a shot, considering we have NOTHING else in this class at QB.

Kid is 6'6 200 pounds, has a 4.0 GPA, was the MVP of the Florida/Georgia All Star Game, was injured most of his Jr year and seems to have flown under the radar a lot.

Honestly he has all the makings of a POTENTIAL "hidden gem".

I don't necessarily see a future All American, but a competent back up to Kaaya. We needed to fill this hole. He was about the best thing out there right now.
 
Another wasted scholly, would rather have seen trayone gray move to qb and save that offer for another 2016 recruit

Yep. EXACTLY a Ryan Williams type is what I am thinking. A smart kid who will learn the offense up and down, and become one of those "player coach" type kids helping Kaaya from the sidelines. He could probably get it done if we needed him to. Not a big gun, but smart and efficient and could eventually move an offense down a field if needed.

Honestly the kid's measurable are nice. He's had some success. For a 13th hour, throw away desperation move to fill a back up QB spot? I would say this pretty good.

You seem to be missing the point.

We shouldn't BE in this situation. Your fat girlfriend Al Golden is the reason this nobody got a scholarship.

This kid is a wasted scholarship being brought in because of Golden's failures.

That isn't something to celebrate.
