Etheridge gone?

Getting to a place to where continuity is nearly impossible is where you want to be. Coordinators will become head coaches, position coaches get NFL jobs or promotions in responsiblity. Saban worked Bama staff to the bone ala Mario and there was a revolving door there - It's a symptom of a top program. Beats the **** out of the SEC snagging our assistants that showed any promise in prior years, or no interest in our staff alltogether.

Any lack of continuity with position coaches in 26 should be made up for by having two returning coordinators. One of them being in place for 4 years. We'll have seniors that don't know any other offensive system.
That’s a great point you that it didn’t really hit me…we are one of the top programs so unless it’s a promotion the main reason why anyone would leave for a lateral is if they are not up to par to what Mario expects and he allows them to get another gig since Mario hates firing folks.

Not worried. After this season, Hetherman has a body of work to present to the next hires.

Its like i keep telling nfl fans, if your team is consistently mediocre for years and the players have changed, the coaches have changed

The problem is the owner, and in our case the problem was the administrators and board of trustees or whoever was in charge

ITU, Gaby put out his notes basically and these are all names that come from that. Watch it end up nobody from that list.

Based on that list, I would go with Jefferson and maybe bring in a former NFL and/or UM player who is looking to get into coaching or is working at a smaller program to serve as Jefferson's backup.
