USC hasn't done anything recruiting wise for a while up until this incoming class. They should have money saved up.

Probably cause all the people that have constantly been acting like we are spending at top 3 rate have been exaggerating. Top 10, Yeah I'd bet. Top 5? Maybe close, maybe some years, but on average? Probably not. And **** changes by the year too. Last year USC was probably not spending top 5 and probably closer to 10. This year? They absolutely are spending top 3 without a doubt. Texas, A&M, Oregon, etc. They've BEEN spending big. Michigan is just now starting to spend as evidenced by the Underwood flip last year and the fact they may be about to pop up out of nowhere and get Calvin Russell.. Ohio St/UGA/Bama obviously spend big. Auburn was on a tear in portal, and are likely to get a bunch of expensive guys too... So yeah, I bet in any year we may spend top 3 in HS+Portal, but on average we are in 5-10 range..

But, would you spend top dollar on a high 4 star/5 star high school WR? I don't think Mario would and it's not wise in my opinion to do so b/c good WRs have been in abundance in the portal.

We got what we needed out of the portal at WR. Our defensive secondary needed a complete overhaul. So, you think it's wise to go out and overspend on portal WRs? Have you thought that the staff is comfortable with what they already have at WR?
