Now the limps are calling it bravado for UM fans to expect to win the sorry *** Coastal and 10 out of 14 games. Being a mealy-mouthed low-expectation having wimp is couched as realistic and smart. LOL

UNC won 11 and the Coastal last year on probation with no defense coming off a 7 win season. It's ok for UM fans to expect UM to almost be as good as UNC was last year.

I want to agree with you (granted rare), but how can you say the Canes are more talented than the majority of teams they play this season?

Walk us through your learned compare/contrast of say VT or UNC.

I believe the Canes can win those games...certainly give them an edge with coaching and scheme (even over fedora)...but player personnel across tje board? Outside a few highlights of excellence, not sure how that can be said.

Having a deliberate and sober look at your organization isnt dumb, stockholm syndrome, or weak...it's realism.

Because they are more talented than the majority of the teams they play this year. That's beyond debate.

Miami plays 12 games this year.

Unquestionable talent advantage: FLORIDA A&M, FLORIDA ATLANTIC, Appalachian State, Georgia Tech, UVA, NC State, Duke. (That's the majority of the schedule).

Unquestionable talent advantage to anybody that watched us play them last year: VT, PITT. (It's only our joke of a staff that kept those teams in that game. But we were clearly several notches above them in terms of on field talent).

That leaves: FSU, ND, UNC.
 
It speaks volumes about how little talent VT has that, at home, catching Miami in a short week, with Miami having to play the games it does sandwiched around VT, Miami is STILL favored to win that game.
 
10 wins easy.... Should be able to beat FSU or ND and maybe both if not Kaaya isnt who we make him out to be.

8-5 with a ****** coaching staff and only losing 5 starters and we played without one of them half the season.

Any more stupid questions??

This. The time for excuses are over. If we wanted to keep making excuses we'd have kept Golden.

Good quarterback, good D-line. That's 2 major areas of a football team where Richt is walking into some nice returning talent. There is absolutely ZERO excuse for not winning 10 games this year. Period.

Disagree with unquestionable talent advantage over GT, NC State, and Duke.

I believe from scheme, Canes better than GT...but athlete for athlete? Their entire OL is better in all phases of game. Lets hope Searles changes that.

NC State is not a team to dismiss, but unquestioned talent advantage? Prove it.

Cutliffe is doing a great job of coaching up athletes to perform at talent levels one wouldnt expect. Last year's game was given to them.on last drive by bum refs..and then football gods made it right with the return. Again, I think the consensus around the ACC is their OL is better than the Canes...overall DBs as well.

Again...take advice (or not). Be nice and add intelligently to discourse.
 
If there are any injuries at all to key personnel on this team, we will have a rough season. This team is really, really thin at many positions as a result of the a-hole who shall not be named here.

Look jeeperdumbaf, 8 wins with a ****** coaching staff with only 5 of the starters leaving AND he took a lesser talented UGA team in his first year as coach to 8-4 in the SEC. Why don't you try posting with some intelligence and knowledge before you post the sludge you call comments
 
Stupid is saying that other teams fans say that their new QB is good and basing that reason for them beating us that is really stupid
