ESPN vs FSU

Aren’t being corny and weird prerequisites for ESPN now?

I think that may be overstating it a bit!

He is embarrassing

But I thought he had some incriminating evidence against ESPN which is why they kept him around? Or was that just an urban legend?
You must be confusing urban legend with urban Meyer who undoubtedly has incriminating evidence against fox considering he can be drunk/high and put up extremities into hind quarters at a bar and have it filmed and still have a job

ESPN has no money the same way The Atlantic doesn't have money. They're trying to pony up money for analysts that give the viewer entertainment, rather than giving actual sports-based analysis.

Take a look at what Stephen A Smith makes and the contracts being paid out to Romo and Kelce. They're focusing on these guys and let everything else go to ****.

Stuart Scott, Scott Van Pelt, Chris Berman didn't demand these kinds of paychecks, but that was during a time when sports were the highlight and not the commentary behind it.

😂

But honestly no I distinctly remember something about RG3 and ESPN because I thought well that’s the only thing that makes sense why he’s still on tv

FSU fans thinking RG III was let go because he spoke out for them is absolutely peak FSU fandom in this era. The transformation they've gone through in the last few years is something to behold. They're like Texas A&M fans without the hospitality.

I mean think of the level of delusion you have to have to think a channel is firing people for supporting you and it being a hint that they are leaving the ACC any day now.

I mean we are homers...we have outrageous takes at times. Its what you do. But this is next level.

And second those personalities are on ESPN because people watch them...I despise it. But again I'm caught between generations is so many things. But give me highlights, some funny quips, etc and I'm good. I have my own opinions I dont need guys who have even less skill then me and many who didnt even play beyond HS telling me their opinion just to get clicks and views. Most of them dont even believe half the stuff they say.

I guess I’m in the minority, I didn’t hate listening to RG3, especially if it was a game I didn’t have a huge interest in the outcome.

That being said, I will absolutely not listen to Mark Jones call another Colorado game. ESPN has had some garbage, but that’s the worst of it.

Actually, RGIII was in his first year of a 3 year deal. This wasn't a cost saving move, they just didn't have a spot for him that fans apprciated.

ESPN will still pay him about $ 2.5 million to take a hike. Not a bad parting gift.
