ESPN says Shannon may become interim coach

Dumb. What was jj's record before he got to Miami? saban before he went to lsu? Just dumb.

No.

What's dumb is your response.

You're comparing young up-and-coming coaches in their first jobs to 66-year-old Butch Davis and his CAREER record of 84-45. Not a snapshot of a moment in his early career. His all-time record at 66 years old.

I'd love to compare rosters of team's that each coach inherited too.

Jimmy's Oklahoma State team, Saban's Michigan State team and Butch's Miami team.

That would be a laugh.

It's so difficult when little guys want to sit at the adult table, and patter on about how many blocks they could stack. Who GAF?

What's funny is how ****sure your claims about Butch have been and how weak and feckless your support of them have been.

You've sure posted a lot of this false bravado stuff but almost no actual substance.

Again, you're too easy.

All talk, no game.

Three posts? Just for me? Sounds like you're mighty butthurt.

Again, you don't know WTF you're speaking of. I used to earn my living hunting men. Highly skilled, highly experienced men. Any day you feel like I'm easy, don't let anything but intuitive caution stop you. I know my capacities - but you don't know yours. You don't even know your own limitations, because other than an ability to churn out some meaningless stats - you've never been tested.

You're small-minded. You based your decisions and opinions on limited information. Sad, but I've buried a number of men who thought the same way. Actually, I didn't bury them - I left them there to rot. I'm not going to break a sweat over some dumbass who was so certain he knew it all.

I didn't change the topic to other coaches. It was a simple point, but it went right over your head. Because it doesn't fit your narrow-minded narrative. You can take your stats, cram them into a pineapple, and **** yourself with that pineapple. Sideways.

What's Nick Saban's percentage? On and on?

I can't believe you even asked this.

Saban: 213-61-1 (.776%)
Johnson: 81-34-3 (.699%)
Davis: 84-45 (.651%)

Great! A dumbass who can pull stats, but has no context of those stats. Sports Illustrated cover - should Miami drop football. There were distractions, but your stats don't actually reflect any of that.

Probably just another millennial with **** for brains, wants the quick numbers, and no sense of perspective.

Not only that - so very judgemental just by outward appearances - outward appearances determined by his standards.

I'd imagine you're a lot of fun on St. Patrick's Day, but I suspect you're a real hoot on Martin Luther King Day. Personal judgement on outward appearance. What a stupid method of judging people.

GTFOH.

UMFarArcher Dammit mane.. He can't be a real Miami fan. Butch is a Miami Legend

See, this is what I mean.

You have absolutely nothing to say. Your posts are filled with crap like this. Just filler.

When confronted with Butch's record and his lack of success you just talk about SI covers and post filler.

Rabble, rabble, rabble.

Blah, blah, blah.

You're a transparent know-nothing.

This is embarrassing to look at.

More filler in place of substance.

"I've got no answer for Butch's demonstrated failure with elite NFL talent."

You asked for the numbers, I provided them and then you whined that they didn't fit your narrative.

A smarter person would've known that beforehand and not asked the question.

Huh?

Butch is old and doesn't look healthy. He's also had some recent health issues.

That's a factor in hiring the face of a major program.

Butch barely got another job at all let alone the Florida job.

Your perspective is comical.
Botch had cancer. No decent college gave him a job after Browns firing. He was never considered a great coach and has character issues. Based on this he was persona non grata to the real colleges. Only lowly fiu would hire him. About 5 years ago they also hired Isiah Thomas as bb coach. Seems they hire down and out former "names" because they are desperate for recognition and publicity. Botch fanboys will never forgive the U for never hiring him back. Most of them wanted Rich to fail. Now frustrated because they realize Richt has turned this program around and the sky is the limit.

Unfortunately, it does not look like Diaz will reach the levels that Randy achieved as DC. While Diaz has been good and definitely an improvement over Golden/D’Onfrio, I am not sure if Diaz would ever be an elite DC because he can be over aggressive

Can we give Diaz the caliber of players UM had when Shannon was DC and then run this little experiment?

Diaz is just an aggressive play caller on the defensive side of the ball. His defense will make a lot of plays but also get gashed or give up the big play at times because he call such an aggressive game. Some will like his style and others will not. Diaz will bring safety blitzes on 3rd and 20..LOL That will drive some fans wild and others will live with the results.

Defensive players and recruits will love his style but fans may whine about him being to aggressive

Lmao at Archer still comparing BoRtch Davis to Nick Saban.

Get it together.

Another simple mind with zero reading comprehension.

Reading comprehension. That escapes you entirely.

When dip**** mentioned his age, I just mentioned that Saban was the same age.

Same age. Age. Age comparison.

Dear lord. I knew our entire educational system had tanked years ago when folks who handed me an application couldn't even fill one out.

Another impressive poster.

Children get cancer - and recover. Young adults get cancer and recover.

You either get past it - or you don't.

It's not Botch fanboys that can't get over UM not hiring him back - it's the butthurt that he left as UM was jacking him around over his contract - and they've never forgiven him for leaving.

I don't want Richt to fail. Never want that.

We're not frustrated that he's turned the program around - but if the sky was the limit with Richt - let's just say Butch has done far more with far less - than Richt has done with a whole lot more.

I hope Richt wins out. Year after year after year.

But that hasn't happened yet.

The so-called "butthurt" fans don't bring up Butch. It's always JAGS like you who think he should be in the running for the Florida job. That's when the "butthurt" fans have to tell you to pump the brakes, no one is coming after Butch Davis.

Archer is a lunatic.

You should compare BoRtch to other coRches, not actual coaches.

"If I leave now, that makes me a deadbeat dad, because this is my family," he told them. "I want to finish my career right here at Miami."

Miami "jerked him around" on a buyout that Butch proved they needed in short order.

Butch thinks he was a deadbeat.

Apparently you disagree.

Well, Butch thought the contract was a done deal - he'd taken a busted UM program, worked hard to rebuild it - so it's time to re-do his contract, and UM DID jerk him around, like they held all the cards.

But he was dealt a few of his own, and when they bluffed - he called.

UM has always until just now - been very cheap on their coaches - lucky with the first four - but always cheap. JJ also left for more money - but no problem. Schenelly left for more money - but no problem. No, all the butt-hurt was reserved for Butch - who left them with a team that should have won three consecutive National Championships.

And JJ's success? Butch did the talent evaluation and recruiting when he'd take off every Thursday to begin his weekly evaluations and recruitments.

After UM's contract jerk around - Butch didn't feel like he was a deadbeat Dad - Butch was not the Dad to had the checkbook.

So while negotiating a contract and being asked to accept a large buyout (because he could leave) Butch was so offended that he.......left.

Exactly why Miami negotiated hard for a large buyout.

The length and compensation had been agreed to. The buyout was the last thing.

Butch can say all that he wants. He lied then blamed Miami for his own decisions.

He can get lost.

But he was dealt a few of his own, and when they bluffed - he called.

Butch chose being a Cleveland Brown for a few years over being a Hurricane.

He made his own bed.

We won a championship without him and he has sucked for the rest of his career.

Miami made him.

Butch didn't though. He left

Richt is ten fold the better coach and it's shown with all of Butch's failures after Miami
