ESPN says Shannon may become interim coach

84-45 is pretty danged good - especially with two start-from-scratch scenarios.

Start from scratch?

Bullshizz.

Butch Davis inherited 7 NFL players on his defense alone in 1995. Didn't win a game against a D1 opponent in the first month. Got blown out twice.

Lost to East Carolina by 25 at home in year 2.

The probation didn't affect the team until 1997-99.

What's Nick Saban's percentage? On and on?

I can't believe you even asked this.

Saban: 213-61-1 (.776%)
Johnson: 81-34-3 (.699%)
Davis: 84-45 (.651%)

Great! A dumbass who can pull stats, but has no context of those stats. Sports Illustrated cover - should Miami drop football. There were distractions, but your stats don't actually reflect any of that.

Probably just another millennial with **** for brains, wants the quick numbers, and no sense of perspective.

Not only that - so very judgemental just by outward appearances - outward appearances determined by his standards.

I'd imagine you're a lot of fun on St. Patrick's Day, but I suspect you're a real hoot on Martin Luther King Day. Personal judgement on outward appearance. What a stupid method of judging people.

GTFOH.

What was Jimmy Johnson's record? What's Nick Saban's percentage? On and on?

So you ask the question, I give you the answer and then you respond with....

Great! A dumbass who can pull stats, but has no context of those stats.

The context is that Butch Davis is clearly not a great coach.

You need to come up with a better response when you get owned on the facts.

Come on why the harsh words towards Butch **** he saved our a&& I for one wishes he never left

Sounds like what Al Golden used as an excuse.

But in reality Butch Davis inherited a much better team than Al and didn't do much better.

Kenard Lang
Kenny Holmes
Ray Lewis
Twan Russell
James Burgess
Earl Little
Tremain Mack

All played multiple years in the NFL. Five of them played 7+ years.

Not to mention Yatil Green, Jammi German, Danyell Ferguson on offense.

Lost three games. Two by 23 or more. Beat Pittsburgh (2-9) by 1 point. Beat Boston College (4-8) by 3 points. Beat West Virginia (5-6) by 5 points.

That team basically stunk and it had nothing to do with probation.

Huh?

Butch is old and doesn't look healthy. He's also had some recent health issues.

That's a factor in hiring the face of a major program.

Butch barely got another job at all let alone the Florida job.

Your perspective is comical.

I think your perspective of Butch Davis is FOS.

I think your perspective of Butch Davis is FOS.

Your knowledge of this program is schit.

Butch Davis inherited 10+ NFLers and did this:

Lost to UCLA (7-5) by 23
Lost to Virginia Tech (10-2) by 6
Lost to Florida State (10-2) by 24
Beat Pittsburgh (2-9) by 1
Beat Boston College (4-8) by 3
Beat West Virginia (5-6) by 5

For every game you mention Butch lost, I can give ten that Richt, Bowden, Saban, Miles, Meyer, Stoops, Switzer, Paterno, Osborne, Hayes, Bryant, and a number of other top coaches have lost that they shouldn't have.

That's what I'm saying - your little mind can't grasp anything but your little numbers.

It's so difficult when little guys want to sit at the adult table, and patter on about how many blocks they could stack. Who GAF?

You can't defend Butch's performance so you change the subject to a bunch of other coaches. If you're so incapable of defending Butch then why are you so sure that he's a great coach?

Lose games they shouldn't? That's not what Butch did. He got humiliated by good teams and barely beat atrocious teams. That's with double digit NFL starters.

He beat one of those god-awful Johnny Majors in second stint Pittsburgh teams by 1 point.

We all know what you're saying.

What I'm saying is that it's stupid and you say it really, really poorly.

You're so **** sure that Butch is great but when pressed on it you fold like an early Butch Davis Miami team.

All hat and no cattle.

What's funny is how ****sure your claims about Butch have been and how weak and feckless your support of them have been.

You've sure posted a lot of this false bravado stuff but almost no actual substance.

Again, you're too easy.

All talk, no game.
