Can hate ESPN, but projects like this require many months & a lot money to produce. Timing looks bad. Again, these projects are planned well in advance & slotted accordingly. No doubt ESPN producers & executives were delighted the last few months watching the revival of the Miami program.
The story itself is an incredible mystery that sadly dragged on for years. And, like it or not, the U fascinates, intrigues & attracts eyeballs - which is why ESPN execs green light a project like this.
Could rightly argue bad **** happens on every campus & within many teams & programs . . . UGA player killed in drunk/speeding crash after natty, UGA player shoots & kills store clerk, Alabama basketball player charged in murder, Baylor hoopster kills teammate, Syracuse coach runs over pedestrian, UAB player kills teammate, Penn State mess, etc. Go online & this **** is sadly almost routine.
Just when Miami is connected it plays to the stereotype & gets played up, taken advantage of.
