ESPN mock draft: Mauigoa #2 overall, Bain #7

I think Mel kiper has completely lost touch of what his job requires. I don't put too much stock in anything he says anymore

Proctor has great size but his feet were god awful in pass sets last year idk maybe another over hyped bama tackle
maybe but LT's always have more value than RT's . way to early for this type of talk to really be solid at this point......

Sewell went first ot off the board and he was a RT because the team who drafted him had a good left tackle who was solidified and helped them become a top 2 oline in the NFL. I think Francis will dominate this year as long as he’s healthy and will go top 10.

Shemer Stewart is a prime example of how NFL scouts operate in regards to the draft.
Exactly, alot of these same people were the ones saying X was going to be 3rd round draft pick. It wouldn't shock me at all if Bain fell to 3rd round even if he has a good season just because of measurables. Bain's the type of prospect that falls in the draft and somehow ends up on the Eagles, Ravens or Steelers and people wonder how the f#ck did that happen

Tbh I’d be more surprised if he was a first round pick in the 2026 draft than if he returned for his senior year

That’s not a knock oh him at all but with NIL, him basically losing an entire season, lacking freakish measurables etc I could see him sticking around and collecting a hefty payday for a senior year
Ding Ding Ding!!! We have ourselves a winner! Johnny, give that man a prize!

Drew Allar at 27? (i dont rate him but the NFL will)
Terrell isnt dropping to 24.

WR class sucks this year huh?

agreed, hopefully both ball out along with several other players as standing on that podium NFL draft W/E is huge for Miami.... fingers crossed

NFL teams fall in love with tall, athletic edge rushers who only do one thing well but 4i defensive ends who can control the line of scrimmage are probably more important. Especially in the ever popular “tite” fronts a lot of teams use today. Reuben Bain was the most skilled freshman defensive lineman I’ve ever seen. His technique and hand strength are ELITE. He missed half of last season with an injury and then was wasted in our defense stunting and twisting on every pass play. Not surprisingly, the best he’s played here was towards the end of 2023 when we were short handed on the line and had to play an odd front because we just didn’t have enough linemen to play four down. A healthy Bain will dominate in our new scheme. I don’t think he’s a top ten guy because, once again, the NFL cares about how guys look in shorts and t shirts more than actual production but he’s a legit first round talent. He may never put up huge sack numbers but he will be a great combination of sound run defense and capable pass rusher.

Francis is a top-15 lock. I think some of our fans really underestimate his athleticism. He'll put on a historic combine performance.

He's basically the same player as that Mizzou OL that went top-10 this year. Both are best fits at RT, but both also have the athleticism to play anywhere on the OL.
