But ESPN hates Miami...

When Miami is good, it's good for college football. Period. This brand still sells, just need to start winning again.

Certainly not fond of Miami as of today (based off their studio opinions). A story stating the obvious doesn't mean we're esecpn darlings either. They have an vested interest in the success and viewership in the sec. It also doesn't hurt their ratings if Miami regains appeal and a large audience to view the 3:30pm or prime time games on their network.

Miami just got rid of it's worse coach in school history. What are people suppose to say? When Miami starts busting heads again they won't have a choice but to say good things.

Both things are true. They do hate us, just look at the reaction when a criminal accuses Miami of being dirty. There wasn't one second were anyone said hey, let's take slow down and get to the bottom of this. ESPN and everybody else launched directly into a debate about the death penalty. That said, they've been quick to jump on board the few times we've gotten ranked over the last decade. They bought right in to that "top 10" al golden team, because it was going to make them money. Basically they make money by pumping us up or bashing us so they do whichever seems appropriate at the moment.

When Miami is up, we get our props and a lot of positive coverage but when we are down majority of their analyst love to take shots. No other program has to deal with the type of **** some of ESPN talking heads spew when things are going wrong for Miami.

I believe that if/when SEC expands again, Miami will be on short list of teams considered...

Miami would not want to be part of the SEC. Florida State is much more the type of school. The SEC is all about football and aside from a few schools, terrible academics. Plus for the most part SEC are southern middle of nowhere schools, and Miami just doesn't fit that mold. Plus Florida has the right to veto any other Florida school from going to the SEC, I believe I read, so no way either us or FSU are going in, we all know how Florida feels about competition.

So esecpn says that the team with number 1 class is recruiting well, and that proves esecpn is legit and doesn't employ a bunch of anti-UM pro-SEC cumbags who do anything to promote their business partners in the sec? Ok.

reason why our negative news is big news its because we are relevant as *** always will be. So if good things happen they will cover it more than USC and Bama......its a two edged sword. Anchors can hate a school but they have to do there job and keep it 100.....some possibly hate miami but if miamis top 3 they have to give them cred its the way it is. Remember we made national news just cause of planes flying over head.....who does that and makes it big news? only miami

ESPN likes us as the villain. Honestly, that's kind of what we are, right? We ****ed up the norm in the 80's. Embrace the hate. The networks don't "like" us because we are the bad guys, but they like us where it matters: the bottom line.
