Yup. And I say this as someone who has tremendous respect for how good of a coach Bronco is, but he builds teams who have 1 extraordinary season every few years when he gets a senior laden, experienced team. Then they drop a few notches till the new group gels. He only puts really good teams together when he has that outstanding senior leadership.

Perkins was their team, for sure. He was also their leading rusher. They also lose 4 of their top 5 pass catchers. They’ll be good. Bronco’s teams always are. But they’re not winning the coastal. Oddsmakers have them at 6 or 6.5 wins this year. That’s probably about right. They’re a 6 or 7 win team.

Bronco will win 7 or 8 this year because he's so sound defensively. He'll get in dog fights with all the Coastal slugs and win his share. But they should be terrible offensively this year.

Agreed. Yet, Diaz found a way to blow that game last year, at home, with a VT QB that can’t pass....

Yeah it's pretty ******* amazing Diaz ended up blowing that game by turning the ball over fiftyeleven times and outgaining VT by eleventyhundred yards.

5% odds are way to high for Miami. With Diaz as coach, I’d say we have a solid 1% chance of winning the coastal

That’s true but I think Bronco is pretty solid & will get the most out of his guys as he normally does. They’ve improved their record each year he’s been there. Obviously with King/Lashlee combo we should roll but who the **** knows.

Plus the they lost their best DB's Bryce Hall & Juan Thornhill to the draft.

UVA without Perkins & Hall takes a dive this season.

Yet, VT took him and Baker to school when the game was on the line. Their QB is still running free on our Defense, btw.. somebody may want to tell these “geniuses” that VT isn’t going to throw except on fake punts...

That was GT who faked a punt on us, not VT.

People who sarcastically call others “geniuses” while simultaneously saying retarded **** will never not be hilarious.

Hendon Hooker was 2 passes short of qualifying for the official national leaders in passing. Had he qualified, he’d have finished 5th in yards per attempt and 9th in passer rating, 1 spot below Trevor Lawrence. Not bad for someone who “can’t pass”, as you moronically said earlier in the thread. Genius.

You’re right, I got the wrong Tech on the fake punt.

Watch the game again. VT was very conservative with their pass game. Fuentes made this Defense look silly at times, especially on crucial moments. Not to mention, I believe it was their back up QB’s first start and on the road. You can give Diaz and Baker a pass all you want but that performance was an embarrassment. No excuses.
