ESPN drop Pope to #35 rank WR and raised Schwartz to #7 overall Wr and #46 overall player in the country. Crazy stuff. They did however raise Jordan to #20 overall prospect so maybe he does get a 5th star in the composit.

Only way I can think of why they have Schwartz ranked higher is because of his speed. Other than that, Pope smokes him in every other category. It's ESPN recruiting; arguably the most inaccurate ranking for recruits you can think of.

It's almost like they're punishing him for being in the other All American game. Pope as the 35th best WR, particularly at this stage in the recruiting cycle, is quite possibly the worst evaluation of a recruit by any service in the modern era. He got nothing but praise from the QBs who threw to him in the US Army practices, with at least one singling him out as the best he saw there. Moving him down in the ratings is unthinkable at this point.

Not coincidentally, Schwartz is committed to an SEC school.

Rivals is the best of them all for rankings. 247 is great for the composite. Also check this class and you will notice Rivals also has the most favorable Miami rankings.

The composite aggregates data and gives you an average. How does an average of unreliable recruiting services turn out to be a reliable indicator? Asking for a friend with a drug-use induced learning disability.
