Was actually pretty good.

my thoughts

- Alabama doesn't look like Alabama based on what I saw in the spring game. Dude were wide open everywhere on D and there CBs aren't good.. they had digg a wr as their CB.. their DL and LB is okay but not like who they usually look.. Alabama is doing a lot more blizing because they can't generate pressure like they use to.
- FSU gonna disappoint.. They have no Oline. No Cook.
- first poll I've seen where LSu wasn't in the top 10.. their QB play is trash.
- Miami at 15 I like it. Not to high not to low. Ranked higher then WVU.
- Auburn and Michigan should switch..

look at the big picture..we win our first 2 games in blow outs with other top teams playing each other, look for us to and FSU being top 10 again playing each other

Just waiting on the Gayturd board to pick this article up and cry about USF and us being ranked ahead of them. Moar tears coming soon!

Whether it's fair or not, these preseason polls matter. The media voters for the AP look at these types of things to determine where to slot their votes. We all know it's easier if you start the season in the top 25 than if you're on the outside looking in. Voters tend to only drop teams if they lose (unless they're SEC teams, then they don't drop) so starting in the 15-16 range is a big positive.

Preseason polls mattered in the past with the BCS system but I don't think they're very important now with the playoff system.

We are definitely positioned well for a nice lil run this year. It's happening

We were positioned for a nice little run with that cupcake schedule last year too.

I agree that the schedule was easy last year but last year we put all our toughest games in a 6 week stretch
2016 Miami Hurricanes Football Schedule | UM

this year we have breaks between tough games and the schedule is easier actually with the crossover game being Syracuse
2017 Miami Hurricanes Football Schedule | UM

plus we weren't ranked at 15 to start the season last year. Regardless of what some think being ranked in the pre-season definitely matters.

If we beat fsu we will be top 5 going into game 8.

A big if... But top 15 start is beneficial
