Ermon Lane has work to do

This is on the kid.

To think that the school (coaches or administrators) hasn't made it clear to every kid in the entire school that they should not wait until December of their senior year to take the SAT is asinine.

They can't force kids to take the test.

Why would any athlete that plays in the fall wait until the fall to take the test? It should be done before.

This kid is old enough to do media interviews, play in all star games, go to camps, etc. He should worry more about the important stuff.

It may be on him, or it may be on the coaches who knows.

But like some other posters have mentioned, its likely on the coaches too. A lot of these high school coaches do not do what's in the best interests of these kids academically and often they are unprepared. You could go to the locker room of any HS right now and I guarantee about 90% of them don't even know what requirements they need to make to get into school. This happens every year with numerous recruits.

Sure does. We see it all the time.

Just not surprised one bit with this kid. He has always given off the "lazy" vibe and I am not just talking about his supposed on-field lackadaisical attitude.

True. I'm not speaking to Lane specifically on this issue, just more in general.

A lot of these kids don't even understand the concept of college and would not be going if they couldn't play ball. The people in their lives, more specifically the coaches, need to do a better job of informing them of their opportunities. Even if they go D-2, they can get an education paid for. But yet every year you have kids all over the country not taking the ACT or SAT until their last semester of school trying to qualify. It's a **** shame.

Dont think its a bright idea to bash a kid who the coaches are still avidly recruiting.

Funny thing is that it's not like these kids have to score in the 99th percentile.
To qualify you have to get a score that, without athletic ability, wouldn't get you into any college/university in the country.

Standardized tests can be intimidating, but if Devin Hester and Frankie Gore can get a qualifying score, then pretty much anybody can, if your name isn't Angelo Jean Louis.

Is Ermon Lane a street in Miami? Can't find it on Google Earth.

Well it's a good thing we aren't recruiting him anymore

His coach says we are
Pete's 'The Work' says we aren't, and if we are, it's barely happening lol

His coach said Barrow/Coley were at his game and the other at his pep rally. I guess they must be playing catch with Dixon in the back yard, if thats barely.

How long ago was that? And maybe you are right that they are heavily recruiting him, I just personally hope we aren't, not a fan of the kid personally

2-3 weeks ago, the week before or the same week JC Jackson destroyed the 2015 gator commit. JHova said he saw Coley or Barrow qt the game.

FWIW I really hope we are still recruiting him hard. We need WRs and he's a good one. Sure he has some red flags, and has, but kids change when they leave high school. I suppose that's up to our staff to determine though.

And we especially need taller receivers. Therefore, I'd love to flip Lane, but if Griffin makes it in and we work it out with Brady then we have filled that void. In that case, I'd much rather flip Cook and/or Sony. I'd take all 3 if they want in, we have no depth and all 3 are elite. Move Powell to another position, that kid is just a football player.
