Its crazy because I remember I think I took the SATs the firt chance of my Junior year and did it every time to get the best score possible. This just makes me not want Lane because he procrastinates and may not work that hard on everything while at school

lol

look I dont want Lane b/c he doesnt even look like the best receiver on his team and i'd rather have Rudolph, Dixon, and Brady.

But I only took the SAT twice, he still will have a chance to take it a 2nd time before his Senior year is over with..... his grades slipping should be a bigger concern then over how many times he can take the SAT score.

Kool so even though he's not flipping to us even if he did we'd be f***** anyway

Lol, ok my b I didnt mean to make it just about the SATs because all you have to do is take it 1 time and you can kill it, **** if you dont do good and you're smart enough you should blow it away the second time. My thing is with the grades and not taking the SAT it seems like hes good with just rushing at the end with his grades which isnt good. Look at many of the kids who dont do make the grades that big of a priority maybe im wrong but most of the times that I remember something eventually off the field whether in the classroom or somewhere else something just happens. I just don't want a headache on the team and im starting to worry that he may become one even though I still really like his talent

Just proves a lack of leadership at the High School. When you have a superstar like Lane at your school, you need to be doing everything possible to ensure that all his I's are dotted and T's are crossed. Makes you want to question his inner circle at the same time but allowing him to wait until late October to take the SAT. Then again he chose U*** so you have to have doubts about the judgement his surrounded by. Will never root for a kid not to get into a school as football might be his ticket in life so best of luck Ermon. Once he gets to Florida, then I hope you go 0-48 in his time there

I'm all for accountability and things of that nature and I certainly understand that nobody can make him take it. That being said, I think this is one thing HS coaches (and now that he's committed, FLA coaches)should encourage players to do early and often, if needed. This goes hand in hand with helping your kids get exposure and helping them pick the right schools. I know when I was in HS and getting lightly the recruited, the last thing I was thinking about was the SAT

This is on the kid.

To think that the school (coaches or administrators) hasn't made it clear to every kid in the entire school that they should not wait until December of their senior year to take the SAT is asinine.

They can't force kids to take the test.

Why would any athlete that plays in the fall wait until the fall to take the test? It should be done before.

This kid is old enough to do media interviews, play in all star games, go to camps, etc. He should worry more about the important stuff.

It may be on him, or it may be on the coaches who knows.

But like some other posters have mentioned, its likely on the coaches too. A lot of these high school coaches do not do what's in the best interests of these kids academically and often they are unprepared. You could go to the locker room of any HS right now and I guarantee about 90% of them don't even know what requirements they need to make to get into school. This happens every year with numerous recruits.

You can put a small portion on the coaches but it really comes down to him and his family.

Whatever. Kid is a Gator. Let them worry about getting him admitted. How are Dixon's grades?

Sure does. We see it all the time.

Just not surprised one bit with this kid. He has always given off the "lazy" vibe and I am not just talking about his supposed on-field lackadaisical attitude.
