The most exciting times and happiest days for Canes fans over the past 10 years have been the period between firing and hiring head coaches. The announcement of our last 2 hires were nothing but a letdown which then proceeded to have very few bright spots and soon went completely bad.

Hopefully this time around the actual hire and sequela will match the anticipation.

Jesus Christ! Let us at least relish the news for 48 hours. We know our last three hires have been abysmal.
 
Not in the mood to audit the past right now but that's not completely true about the letdown. PLENTY of people were pumped following all the rah rah and buzzwords the last corch threw out at that introductory press conference.
 
I think we can all admit that Goldie sold us a dream that we were clamoring for after the Randy Shannon debacle. He was a good used car salesman nothing more, and it finally caught up to him because he was TURRRRRRIBLE as a head coach.
