jimbo and Ryan day got blown out by bama too. that's not a fair measurement stick. lolFor the thousandth time, Manny is in over his head. The guy is a buffoon of a coach. It’s been known over his first two years, now confirmed with this game.

They were so **** good they didn't need a coach. That was the point.Same guy who was part of the team that wanted to keep Coker that then in turn started the downtrend?
Got it
3-4 more losses should show Manny the door. We win 9-10 games, get to the ACC title game and play well, that shows progress. Getting blown out by Alabama just tells us what we already knew, we ain't in that elite 3 programs that sit up there. No one else is either.Theres at least 3-4 more losses coming. At very least.
Could we have beat fiu and la tech with any other coach?Could we have won this game with our current roster and different coaches?
Could we have won this game with our current staff and better players?
Looks like there are plenty of opportunities for improvement because I can't answer yes to either of those.
Anything short of beating UNC and giving Clemson a scare in the ACC title game should show Manny the door. But we don't know that yet until they play the rest of the games. You still don’t understand why fans and former players are angry about that game and it isn’t just the loss. Go rewatch Clemson, UNC and OSU of last year and tell me you notice a difference.
Wilfork, Rolle and someone else straight destroyed the team off that performance.
Agreed, and I said the same thing. Looked like they were not even coaching to win. Absolutely nothing in the play calling or designed schemes suggested it. It's like they knew we would lose and the Bama game was just a preseason scrimmage before the real season opener with App St.Looking at this game in hindsight, it’s almost as if Manny and Co. wasn’t really trying to win this game. It looked like the college version of an NFL Preseason game. Get through it, and get nobody hurt, **** the score! Think about the game plan we saw. The last time MD was calling plays, he would always seem to make adjustments after the first few series….. at least after the first half! I saw no noticeable adjustments other than some younger personnel in the game. It’s like we were so afraid of getting 70 hung on us. So afraid of Bama’s speed, so afraid of ****ing Saban off, that we just set back and did NOTHING. IDK man, maybe I’m grasping for straws to try to explain what I saw on that field, Saturday. At least the youngins that played didn’t look outta place Vs. bama, so we got that going for us, I guess.
UNC is dog vomit. We need to be worrying about VT. But I agree with you. Win the ACC Coastal and give Clemson a game (Dabo is going to miss ol' Trevor this year), or get Manny the fvck out.Anything short of beating UNC and giving Clemson a scare in the ACC title game should show Manny the door. But we don't know that yet until they play the rest of the games.
Answer to your first question is a resounding NOPE. We could have had Chuck Noll, Vince Lombardi and Bill Parcells on the sidelines and it wouldn't have mattered with our current talent.Could we have won this game with our current roster and different coaches?
Could we have won this game with our current staff and better players?

Good and I hope everyone one of them makes life **** for Blake and manure! They both deserve it and so does the whole university for allowing manny to be hired in 5 minutes.Well former players AND the media in so fla are VERY pro-mario.
Right.Answer to your first question is a resounding NOPE. We could have had Chuck Noll, Vince Lombardi and Bill Parcells on the sidelines and it wouldn't have mattered with our current talent.
Answer to your second question is also a NOPE but the game would have been closer.
It begins with talent and ends with coaching.
That is some family friendly cinema right there!I’d rather watch 2 girls 1 cup on Loop, than Jennings or Ivey play another snap. I just can’t ******* take it anymore
I would offer it begins with coaching and ends with talent executing.Answer to your first question is a resounding NOPE. We could have had Chuck Noll, Vince Lombardi and Bill Parcells on the sidelines and it wouldn't have mattered with our current talent.

Clarke is hurt too btw.
I believe that they were trying to psyche him up the whole time. From the moment I heard of the “new DJ Ivey” I knew it was an attempt to build him up.Honest question: were the coaches just gassing up Ivey during camp because they knew there was limited (healthy) depth behind him, they were probably going to be stuck with him, and his biggest issues seem to be lack of focus and lack of confidence? Because we kept hearing about this "new and improved Ivey" and even TRob was gushing about him. Based on what we saw Saturday, he looked like the same old Ivey to me (i.e., a total liability who is guaranteed to be badly out of place on a handful of plays per game).
I had a similar suspicion, but I momentarily set it aside to give TROB the benefit of the doubt.I believe that they were trying to psyche him up the whole time. From the moment I heard of the “new DJ Ivey” I knew it was an attempt to build him up.
and got cheated out of another oneYou mean the team that won a national championship?
lol
Yea TRob is trying to will Ivey into greatness, but it’s clear that his deficiencies are more than mental. What TRob did is a part of coaching though, it’s mentorship and positive reinforcement too. He is just trying to help Ivey with his lack of confidence. If it leads to fans having improved or even lofty expectations of Ivey’s play this season, TRob doesn’t care, he did that to pump up Ivey only. I always take camp talk with a grain of salt.I had a similar suspicion, but I momentarily set it aside to give TROB the benefit of the doubt.
You need both: great players and great coaches. That's not even debatable. And we are lacking in both areas. Also not debatable. We need much better players and we need a much better coaching and training staff.I would offer it begins with coaching and ends with talent executing.
If I may...... is the talent gap the same between "Bama gods" and Hurricanes vs Hurricanes and FIU?
I mean, goodness, STA could probably give FIU a run for their money and our Canes lost to that squad under Manuela.
So what is it then? Why is that a 1:1,000,000 of "excuse 1, excuse 2, excuse 3", but those same don't apply to how awful our Canes' gameplan ws against Bama??
I mean Bear Bryant could be on sidelines and NEVER beat Miami with FIU squad right?
Granted Butch DAW GAWD was there, so it is kinda a given....
If ya gonna slurp, slurp consistently.
