Embarrassing may 2013 thread where people like Golden

i could see trying to gloat if you were warning people about golden back then saying he was a bad coach, you're just some jackass with a new name
 
Same screen name since I joined this site after people left caneinsider back in the day.
 
I'm pretty sure you'll find a lot more shady slurping from many of us back in 2013, especially after that 7-0 start....but the light became bright for 70% of the board at the end of the 2013-14 season; bout 80-85% saw the light after the 2014-15 season, and 93% of the board came around after 4 games into the season. The other 7% were either trolls, Golden's family, The Hecht trolls trying to do damage control, or your basic delusional fan boy. Point is, we started from the bottom now we here!

Needs to get with Coach D and get the D straightened out. It's been said before if the D was ranked even 75th, we may have won, one or more games. If that can improve, we should be at, at least a 9 win team. At that point, I'd go A-. If the D ends up top 50, 11 games , could be reality. I'd be at an A+

BrianF I would give Golden a higher grade than Shannon, any day of the year.

I think my assessment wasn't too gratuitous at the time. I stand by what I said then. Golden was a likeable guy at one point.

On scout I was warning after the 2012 Notre dame game that Golden was no good. I don't think I actually got banned, but I got attacked as a trolling FSU fan so much I chose not to post there again.
 
Is there some kind of trophy for being the first guy to hate on a coach? Like, wow! You're some kind of clairvoyant. I wasn't a member here until recently but like most, I wanted to give Al the benefit of the doubt. The blowout loss to Louisville in the bowl game really soured me and the following 6-7 season nailed the coffin shut. I like to give any coach a chance to get their players in and install whatever offense/defense they want to run. While it was clear that what Al was trying to do wasn't working, I held out hope that he would scrap the junk that didn't work and maybe actually fire an assistant or two but he didn't. He got fired and now there's a new coach. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt too.

through the grace of the internet gods I didn't post in that thread and spared myself the humiliation of publicly defending Al and saying stupid stuff that turned out to be completely false.
 
One thing that most missed on here was the lovefest we had for Ermon Lane. LOL. Man I forgot that kid was a cant miss prospect around that time. He is virtually a bust at this point in his FSU career. Esp considering the hype.
 
Not sure how the light hadn't clicked for everyone after the K state blowout, only scoring 14 on that horrid UNC D and losing the game at home, and losing to UVA all in 2012. All canes fans I associate with were pretty aware of the situation after that season. Especially after no changes were made. Even starting 7-0 in 2013, the way we were barely winning those games was a joke.

Same sht continued for 3 more years.
 
Can marcelo2988 come here and say why he thought golden deserved a better grade than an A+? That is the ultimate humiliating post. I don't think anybody else in the history of the Internet has made such an awful and humiliating post before.

In Golden's 1st game we lost to Maryland. Maryland would go on to finish that year 2-10. Their only other win was over FCS Towson. We were the only FBS team they beat.
