"Tim Tebow" has always been a business to Bob and Tim Tebow. I'm surprised if anyone is surprised.

They’re not insulting Christ and calling your religion a cult or an abomination. They’re mostly calling Tebow a hypocrite.

And to be accurate, you weren’t banned for that, You got a 1 point infraction for it. And because you already had multiple infractions, a system ban kicked in automatically. You got what you deserved.

And insulting Tim Tebow is a noteworthy endeavor of admiration.

Remember when he cried like a little ***** in the SEC title game? That was fun. ;)

Our church Men's group asked Tony Dungy to speak some years back and he also said his fee was $50k. Needless to say he didn't speak. How many "famous" people give up their speaking fees? I'm not a Tebow fan one way or the other but this is the norm as speaking fees go and not to many are giving it away.

Elie Wiesel and Wolf Blitzer both spoke at my synagogue when I was a kid and they charged fees. I think this happens everywhere with everyone here in this country. I don’t see the issue with him charging fees. That said fûck Teblow and the gaytors.

They took him late in the first round right? They really shouldn't have. A QB that can't throw the deep ball, has poor mechanics and relied on power running to make big plays. I want to say they took him as a PR stunt, but you don't burn your 1st round pick on a PR stunt.

They later won with Peyton a few years later right? What changed to make them better? Perhaps the QB?

I get that he charges for speaking engagements and it happens with other religions. As I mentioned, as a kid, my synagogue on Miami Beach paid Wolf Blitzer and Elie Wiesel to speak. They charged members to attend a lunch and I actually went. But yeah, Tebow isn’t some saint and eff that gaytor anyhow.

Oh I wouldn't mind it at all for a normal person; if someone wanted me to speak for 50k, I would step on stage and give my best James Jacksons Brother impression. Would enjoy it too.

We were fed a line about our Lord and Savior Tim Tebow, by virtually every media outlet about how Holy he is; doing missionary work with his parents and circumcising kids and donating his time, and how great he was and how he will save the Lord amen. And he did a commercial in the Super Bowl that was anti-abortion.

Fine. Be all those things, make the world a better place and help people.

But on the other side of your mouth, don't pull a Jerry Maguire and "Show me the money". You can't have both. xD

Yeah that’s true. Like I mentioned, he has a right to charge and it’s normal but the dude’s not some saint.

If a wealthy ‘prosperity church’ wants to pay Tebow, Dungy, or any one else $50K for an appearance, fine. I’d be curious what Tebow or Dungy would say if a poor congregation requests for a talk to raise money to fix the roof, the heat, or a playground for local children.

If we’re not careful ‘religion’ will end up a ‘No’ topic. Maybe it should be.

Oh, I'd imagine they'd say they'd love to, but their schedule is full.

Nothing like a bit of obfuscation to avoid looking like the bad guy.

It’s a job and he gets paid for it because he brings a crowd.

Tebow is a fraud, a horrible quarterback, and he stole a minor league spot from a deserving player in the Mets organization. Unless you think 220 pound guys his age with no power deserve an AA and AAA roster spot.
