My guess is that the payout for the top HS kids goes down this class, especially the 5-20 guys. Not enough payback for the programs that pick them up to justify big money. Regardless, we need to look for attributes and not worry about rankings so much.

I don't get the standard we have on this site. Lol. Why do they even follow high school QB recruiting if that same fan base just wants to push them out every year and take a portal QB? We apparently shouldn't even pretend we're capable of developing our own QB room.

I personally don’t follow high school QB recruiting for any school

It’s just a bad way to distribute assets in on a team.

Don’t even pretend developing them. Like you’ve said on the last, just not enough practice time and reps to help them get there.

There is. But only if you legit commit to them. What's gonna happen the FIRST TIME one of these portal QBs we bring in gets hurt as a result of how we're approaching this is a 30-40 million dollar team that we've brought in is simply gonna be *** for a year. I personally really disagree with this approach. But I get it. When it works it works, but the alternative is failing miserably and not having the trust of any legit has QB who will be able to help us in that moment. Cause you can't get a starter AND a backup out of the portal yearly.
