Especially from the middle. Willis pushing the C/OGs back forced the QB further back in the pocket or flushed him out, which made it so much easier for the DEs to feast. Rousseau is killing people from the middle this season. Roberts will be that guy.

It would also help if they had some range. In the NFL, LBs make a bigger difference, but they can still affect the game in college. Looking forward to watching a guy like Avery Huff. A LB with some range makes a Safety's job infinitely less stressful.

Agree totally. By nature our defense is going to give up some plays by LBs shooting the gaps and sometimes picking the wrong one. But if we had guys that could cover a bit more ground, either in coverage or setting the edge, we would be very, very difficult to score on.

It’s strange we can’t get more LB recruits to see the numbers they could put up in this system. I am excited to see Huff and Brooks next year.
