you want a fair recruiting for both sides?
Early Commitment
a recruit is allowed to early commit to a school. During the early commitment the recruit can negotiate his commitment. ie (if the school accepts a commitment from a specific player or position, if a specific or any of the coaches leave) basically put all the BS the school say in writing
2 Day evaluation process - 2 days prior to NSD
Player can travel (paid by the school) to evaluate his commitment 2 days after (during NSD) it becomes final unless he changes it
14 days contingent period
first 2 weeks after committing the recruit can back out of certain things happen. these terms can be agreed by the player and the school. So if on NSD the guy sings and the coach told him no worries you are the only RB I am recruiting and next thing you know another top RB signs you can back out.
after the 14 days it is locked in no matter what
remember this is their lives and they need to be give a fair chance to evaluate a program that is best for them.
yes it will be a bit messy during recruiting, but I see allot of early signees and only hand full of drama.
