This is all anecdotal and I'm not really trying to debate whether one should or shouldn't have renewed their season tix but I'm curious what you guys think was the monetary result of the King transfer/Lashlee hire and Ed coming onboard?

I personally know at least 5 separate season ticket holders that thought they were out but got dragged back in either after the King transfer/Lashlee hire or then at the last minute after Ed's hiring.

If you conservatively figure that season ticket holders are dropping a grand on seats and parking passes each then this ends up being a pretty sizable financial swing.

Even if just 2500-5000 seats were saved by the deadline on Friday then you're talking like $2.5 - $5 million dollars.

Did you guys experience the same or did the people you know stick to their "no mas" guns?

I know a bunch that renewed after Lashlee was hired. Ed was always coming in, the fact they did it the day before the final renewal date was trying to get more people to buy back in. i think it had some effect but not that much, a lot are a wait and see what happens. But then again i could be wrong and everyone could of bought back in. Does anyone know if there is some kind of report that gets released about season tickets sold?

I was out. I mean completely out for this season after talking mad sht. Yesterday I was at work and said fck it. Through good and the bad orange and green. The tseason tickets site was down for several hrs and I was on hold for 20minutes (no snitching) I was finally able to log back in around 10:30 at night. Then around 1 am I logged to see what had opened up. There was barely anything available.

I was always gonna renew (alumni discount only lasts for so long). I do also know 3 people who renewed only following the Lashlee and/or Reed news. King didn't move the needle for this group as much as the hires did, interestingly enough. Surprising since King probably has the second biggest impact on our win loss expectations

Saw this yesterday

I bought tickets for the first time this year. I think I did it after the lashlee news or right before. Either way him and King had no bearing on my decision. I was just tired of buying tickets on the secondary market and getting screwed.

The only other Canes fan I talk to isn't a season ticket holder, but usually catches a game most years. He's back in for this year, but is pessimistic about next year. Of course, he's the biggest Eeyore I've ever seen about everything, so take that with a grain of salt.

So that's 2 ticket sales most likely in the cheap seats, so an extra $20?

Anecdotal - not necessarily true or reliable, because based on personal accounts rather than facts or research.

Had to put in the definition, come on Man U know 95% of the people in here have no idea what that word means.
Now I renewed after the Reed news. Ticket sales sky rocketed after he was announced.

Of course I was ****ed the way the 2019 season went/ended and I did put a stop to my season tix for 2020 and my wife even commented “not sure why you’re suspending the payments, cause you know you’ll be back”, and I was 99% sure I wasn’t, not until I seen how the season went to rebuy in 2021. BUT, once Manny and the University started to change what the problems were, (i.e. King coming in, hiring Lashlee, a OL coach etc), I was all in!! Lol. And then with the hiring of Ed Mofuggn Reed, that just made my decision even better.

Nope, the wife doesn’t know (Yet) that we’re all in for 2020 lol.
Goo Canes! 👍🤞🏼🙏🏼🙌

I never canceled technically. I’m on the month plan so I could pull out at any time but I too was on a ‘1 more year campaign’. 🤷🏾‍♂️

There are also a few people that I met at the stadium that went to the game a few times and ended up buying season tickets purely for the experience. It’s a nice stadium the entertainment is fun for the kids and family. People are dancing the food and music are awesome. That’s one thing that wasn’t there before the renovations. The atmosphere is definitely a lot better imo.

I feel the fires and hires and King inking show that CIS is really the puppet master now...lol. Seriously, I do think it shows commitment to winning. I believe the 🐐 20 hire puts a buffer between the program and BJ who admitted he knows nothing of football. If he sticks his fingers in our chili now, #20 will bite them off. 20 has more power than people believe. If BJ causes a sheet show that forces 20 out, there will be a PR sheetstorm lime this program has never imagined....just my opinion. So I love the new vector we’re on.

Exactly, isn’t that kinda the definition of being a “fan” aka fanatic.
I’m not trying to judge anyone, but some seem to really have a skewed view of fandom in general.

I agree and don't judge, people can do what they want. But don't come on here condescending other people as less smart than you just cause they get excited by the positive things that have been done to improve our program.

A lot of our fans never learn and fall into the offseason hype every year.
That's what fans in every sport do. You look for something positive in the off-season so you can look forward to the next season. UM has made some really positive moves, IMO. At the end of 2019, I was as turned off as anyone. I'm glad there have been some positives moves to rekindle my interest in what happens next.
