Ed Reed's impact

Really hope the next move is getting him into a position coaching role before next season. We need him coaching on the sidelines and recruiting.
Ed is so right on so many levels. Just his OCD attention to details is worth coaching position. Dude is on a level all his own about work, prep, field presence and just frigging fooling the other QB. So much can be had from him.

this is a ridiculous statement. he's never been a DC. he was an assistant DB coach for the Bills, and IIRC that's it. you guys that think a good player, even an elite player, can transition from one day to another to a DC are full of it.
Only fools doubt ER. And Blake baker is that much more qualified? STFU. Baker has rode Diaz's coat tails ever where he has been.

What does baker know that Coach Reed doesn't? Schemes? Feel for the game? Ability to relate to players? Motivate players? Recruit players? Experience? How to call a game? Please.

Name one area Baker is doing or could do better the Coach Reed. I'll wait.

Ed is in the perfect role. Cameras can’t help but to find Goat 20. Watching him take JP15 to the locker room, looming the sidelines talking to the guys, setting the referees straight, this is a dream come true. If you’re a defensive recruit how can you not wanna be around Ed Reed? He’s able to influence this team in so many ways! Let the coaches coach and let Ed be Ed. The last thing I want is Ed as DC and having to hear the critics pick apart his every move. Let Ed be great! Best Chief of Staff in the country!

Simple question. Time. Ed is a business owner and a father. He says it all the time. He doesn’t have the time to be a full time DC nor does he probably want too. It’s not as simple as having knowledge.

Lol at he doesn't have the time....
What’s funny? Was Ed at everyday of training camp? He literally said part of the reason he took the job was because Manny understands the flexibility he needs to run his businesses and spend time with his family.

you do realize DC’s are working 70-80 hour weeks. You can’t do that and run a business on top of it.

Except ER has said he wants to get into coaching. DC or DB, I don't know. No matter, I wouldn't bet against him being successful.

I'm thinking the GOAT is on that Deion Sanders/Jackson State path. Just a hunch. Don't see him "paying his dues" as a DC or position coach. He wants to be a shot caller.

I bet he's picking Lashlee's brain every chance he gets to learn about that offense.
