I love Ed Reed and he is the GOAT DB in my eyes but does anyone here really believe he had a role in what is going on with this team? if anyone knows something we don't please educate us because this team has nothing to do with the teams Ed played on when he was here.

It's been said plenty of times on here.

Manny is the smartest guy in the room.
His way or the highway.
That's why they didn't want Alonzo in as the "chief of staff".
 
Lol what has he done? Ed Reed doesn't do *** football and losing.. that's why he hasn't done anything. Anyone think Manny is gonna listen to a figurehead and stop all the stupid celebrating and start disciplining the guys who wont work to be better than a jag. Ed obviously wasn't given any real power or **** wouldn't be exactly the same **** poor product in year three.

No one is blaming Reed for Manny. We all realize Reed is a glorified mascot. Manny should have never been hired to begin with, and should have been fired after the loss to FIU. With that said, it’s just a little rich to publicly blast the football program for the low standards when your title is literally Chief of Staff for the football team. I said from the jump that it was a bad idea for Ed to accept that position because it was clearly a stunt to placate fans after Blake and Manny blocked the attempt to give Highsmith a similar role with actual authority.
 
Read most of the comments on this thread and some of you should be 5150 immediately. Reed donate his salary? Why? Reed has no input or influence? Wrong. Reed will have a bigger role with the next AD in place. If anything, he's been **** blocked by Manny and his folks. The same Manny that turned down Alonzo. The same Manny that took over DC role as an inexperienced HC.

And all of this under James' purview.

That’s why leadership matters. As the head coach you have to have the ability to teach that into your team. The players have to be responsible and be aware of the individuals and either straighten them out or send them packing. Players tweeting out highlights of themselves after losing is a huge red flag and should’ve been dealt with immediately.

This is why If Mario comes there might be dudes that we all love hitting the portal within the first month either by choice or by force.

During the Virginia game Ed was doing a cheer with Sebastian. Arguably the best safety in the history of football relegated to being a cheerleader. Ed never should have taken the job. Whatever Miami pays him would be an insignificant fraction of his net worth.
