Ed Reed watch

Y’all got to stop thinking every former player can’t coach. There are plenty of former players throughout football at other schools that were great players and are excelling in this profession

Maybe he can coach.

Maybe he can’t.

We can’t afford to be the ones who find out.

Oh the posts when Reed misses on an elite prospect. Reed is better off being the guy we remember with the helmet. Not a guy with a Miami polo taking pictures at a recruit's house on twitter, only for that recruit to pick another school. You turned on Barrow, you'd turn on Reed too.

Dint hire anyone you can’t fire.

He’s largely unproven as a coach. as a player got by largely on instinct that can’t be taught...total riverboat gambler...and for the record, my favorite player ever.

So what happens if he stinks as a coach here? Who wants to fire Ed Reed?
This is a huge misconception about ed Reed. Why yes he used his incredible instincts. Ed watched hours upon hours of game tape and understands how to attack an offense and what an opposing offense is trying to do against all kinds of looks.

no we shouldn't he has 0 coaching experience at any level are u smoking pal. just cause were great player don't make u a great coach in fact usually being a great player makes u a horrible coach. everytime a great player became a coach he failed because he thinks everyone he coaches can do wht he can and they cant

And what do you know about coaching ?? How do you calculate that Ed REED would be a bad coach?....the fact he has no experience ?.. hes just one of the best players to ever play lol..

Anyways... what db recruit would say no to ED REED

Plenty. Unless he's got a bag with him.

Maybe a defensive analyst?

Ed Reed was special - and he put in a lot of time and work to be special.

He was so good at analyzing offenses - he looked like he had ESP out there and knew where the play would be. That part is not exactly easy to coach - as much as someone putting in the same time and work at analyzing offenses.

However - if up in the box - he'd be remarkable helping to call defensive plays and formations. No doubt in my mind.

But Ed and his home - and world is in Louisiana. I'm not so sure he'd want to spend that much time away from home - but who knows?

Really intelligent post. I agree with every point, including him being my favorite football player ever.

here is my th ing if ed reed wants to be a coach put in the work. show people u want to be a coach same with ray lewis. the guys who become coaches do so as quality control guys in nfl or college first and work up just like any job they don't get handed position jobs and coordinator jobs they just don't. rumph had been a hs coach so had coaching experience at some level reed has 0 . I love ed reed best safety I ever saw play but doestn mean would be a great coach

to me its like guys who want ken Dorsey as oc. why. he has been qb coach in nfl but he has never called plays at any level and im all for hirig him in 3 yrs say if whoever oc is takes hc job and after he has experience and shows success at app state but right now hiring Dorsey would be a bad move as oc

Exactly.... Other than Santana, Ed is my favorite of all time and yet I'm not sure about him being coach. Like u said, they way he plays, I do not think that can be taught lol. Maybe it can but I sincerely doubt it
