Manny is off to a good start by firing the entire offense of Staff. Now he needs to hire a competent defensive coordinator.
 
How could he be a bad coach?? He knows things and understands things a way that no other player could ever imagine. Yes. He can't teach how to become the next Ed Reed but he can try and help mentor and get these kids right to win nattys and get drafted first round..EASy
 
That is a good idea, because Manny probably doesn't know who Ed Reed is and if he saw it "trending" he would surely hire him.

This. I mean you would think that reed could be a good hire but in all likelihood he could be mediocre or worst and then your faced with doing something that would seem sacrilegious

Y’all got to stop thinking every former player can’t coach. There are plenty of former players throughout football at other schools that were great players and are excelling in this profession
 
His last coaching job was an analyst gig with Richt Jr. No...

no we shouldn't he has 0 coaching experience at any level are u smoking pal. just cause were great player don't make u a great coach in fact usually being a great player makes u a horrible coach. everytime a great player became a coach he failed because he thinks everyone he coaches can do wht he can and they cant

Its not uncommon for teams to hire retired guys from the NFL with zero coaching experience as a position coach. Not a new concept at all. Mike vrabel retired from NFL and went back to Ohio St and was hired to coach lb's with zero coaching experience. Tony Dungy, Ken wisenhunt, Mike malarkey etc etc. Not a new concept chit I think even don Shula did the samething.

I think it’s more everyone thinking only former canes are the only candidates .

Regardless of experience.

there are almost 0 hof players who are great coaches at any level because they think everyone can do what they can and that's not true they are hof for a reason. name the great players who are great coaches
