Official Ed Reed WAS new Head Coach at Bethune-Cookman (Now Not 🫠)

Good for Ed, but curious to see how this whole "Former NFL star with minimal coaching experience now a head coach at a small-time program" thing plays in the long run.

Deion obviously kicked the door open with Jackson State, putting them on the map—as well as himself as he parlayed it into the Colorado gig—but a lot hinges on his success with the Buffaloes.

This ain't the SWAC for him anymore, where a few talented kids are the difference in beating the brains out of some lesser teams. Pac-12 scores points; curious how Sanders' JSU kids and new pick-up look in 2023.

Ed should have a modicum of success at Bethune-Cookman, which he'll obviously try to parlay into a better gig down the road.

Curious how much he really wants to recruit and play program CEO as he looked pretty comfortable chomping down cigars, playing golf and sipping cognac nightly.

He's either bored with retired life, or he's in for a rude lifestyle awakening as the only head coach with a slew of free time to golf was Herm Edwards and we saw how that ended in Tempe.
