Before everyone goes crazy, it is not another Zo situation. They actually want someone who will be committed to the job on a somewhat full-time basis. Ed lives in Atlanta might not have to time to commit quite to the level that UM wants. More of an an Ed issue than a UM issue imo

there's no indication that he even has an interest in coaching or if he's a good coach at all given his resume is a single season in buffalo (three years ago) as an assistant db coach that wasn't retained. reed was that incredibly rare athlete that had immense physical gifts to match his football genius, but there are huge parts of his game that can't be taught. that said, i'd take him over banda in a heartbeat.
