Ed Reed COS?

What would ed Reed provide? He has no management experience. Would he be there just to assist in evaluating talent ?

I don't get what the **** a chief of staff is supposed to do
I thought I was the only one lmao

Is it a position of real substance and say..orrrr a program hype man??..who does this person answer to? Manny or is the middle man from the AD to manny..I need ******* answers!??

no at every program a COS is just an assistant to the HC. he helps with travel, helps you run a team essentially. takes over the **** that lets the HC focus on actual coaching

Ed was the leader of the last national title team. UM owes him cash for that so good for him to collect it in what will basically be a meaningless position.

Aside from coaching with the Bills for one season, what has he done after his playing career?

What makes him qualified for this role? The guy FSU got spent 8 seasons as director of OPs for an NFL team. Highsmith has spent 8 seasons in an NFL front office.

Reed seems more like an unqualified guy to serve as fan service and a glorified mascot.

I have no idea if this is true but anyone saying Ed Reed as Chief of Staff wouldn't mean anything is a clown. Just having his presence around the football team and school would immediately give us more credibility. Not to mention his connection with alumni, on-campus recruiting, and evaluating the state of the program.

So he’s doing the ADs job..and some of mannys ?..everything u explained is directly on the ADs plate especially in football...at least i know that’s how it works in HS..I’d imagine it’s the same in cfb🤷🏾‍♂️

This reeks of a move to appease the fan base. But having Ed actually involved with evals seems like a good idea.

It would be, but it would also be the right move as opposed to Highsmith.

Y'all are sitting here thinking we have the money to pay an NFL Exec for the same job we were paying Stroud for a minute as just a title.

Reed is a better fit for the ACTUAL JOB from an experience standpoint and adds tons of clout.
