I don’t come here to tell fairy tells. Gino and I are more than friends and our family has been able to enjoy many wonderful memories of a guy that still bleeds Orange& Green to this day. He is a humble, well accomplished guy who never forgot where he came from. He even brought his Heisman fo Columbus for the Ohio State-Miami game shown with his little and cousin and my great nephew.

Would love for Gino to be our AD, seriously. I think he & Hightower would both knock it out the park being ADs here.

G was Zo’s guy and I promise you. Alonzo would have run football ops, Gino AD. It was not a pipe dream! People here have no idea what a major programs football ops looks like. Would’ve been a **** of a thing

I have the same concerns with another certain coach.

You feel me!!!...Diaz better hit another HR at QB & OC if King & Lashlee bolt.

And then you have others in this thread that place the "corch" label on Orgeron, including me at one time. But the reality is the guy had been dealing with recruits hemorrhaging to Alabama, was dealing with player attrition from players within His own team, and He still had the program trending up, culminating in a Natty.

Now the *** scandals aside, if Orgeron accomplished the same feat at Miami, we'd be calling for a statue of Him outside the Hecht.

The hypocrisy of some of our fanbase is astounding LOL.

Diaz needs to be ready and not be caught flat footed when Lashlee leaves. I'd be looking at replacements now, because you just never know when someone will come calling.

My sauces on the ground are saying that Luigi just boarded a Southwest flight from Oregon to Baton Rouge (with a 3 hr layover in Phoenix). It's going to take LSU opening the bank vault like never before but if you want quality you got to pay for quality.

What makes you think a guy with zero experience as an Athletic Director would be a good call for us. Isn’t that more of the same bullshlt, or actually, even worse than before. Someone that has no experience in sports college administration. Just a thought.

LOL...Optics didn't seem to bother LSU when they hired Orgeron with His history of domestic abuse, so Freeze is most definitely in their wheelhouse.
Perhaps. Although his offenses occurred about 30 years ago as an assistant coach. Since then, he has had no issues (unless I am missing something).

Freeze's issues occurred 5 years ago, while he was HC and involved NCAA violations. One issue involved him having escorts on speed dial. It might be tough to make the hire if the main reason for firing Coach O is due to sexual harassment by the team. :D

You have absolutely no clue. My cuginas played QB at UM,
One of them one two national championships, an award or six and he is pictured with the award he won. I was fortunate enough to be very close to the program from 83 to 92 and uring the Mark Stoops years and my contacts still move the needle at Miami when they speak. Other than that you were 100% accurate.
Tell your cousin he was great to my son and I at BC a few years back. Mr. Gabelli told us where he was tailgating. Total class act. Have to find the pic with my dude in your cousins arms.

Although I know nothing about UM, my son and I were invited guests at a private tailgate honoring the 25th anniversary of the 1991 NC. were you there?

Gino has two brothers correct? I met another Torretta or maybe it was Geoff at a golf tourney in Northern California. He was frightened of my Cane knowledge and that my fake ID in college was a Cali ID with a hometown of Pinole. And yes, I am a loser.

I i’ve been told by people in the know in the college football world that Ed O is done as the HC at As LSU at the end of the season. My source is impeccable so I guarantee O is history in Baton Rouge
If He Dies Ivan Drago GIF

I went to BC with Mr. Gabelli’s daughter. We are friends. I was at the game and my son had a canes shirt on and Mr. Gabelli was busting my balls because I may or may not have played a sport at BC. Then he said go over there take a right and a left and tell Gino I sent you. My dude took off and Gino scooped him up and said I take it he is yours. Talked for 20 minutes. Guy was fantastic.

Brother Gary. Sadly Gino’s dad passed away in 1988 a month before the season of an aneurism, never saw Gino play a down of college football.
