2027 Easton Royal 5* WR from NOLA (Brother Martin HS) Committed To Texes

Xavier Worthy was a bust in college? The R1 pick that had 26 TDs in college including 12 as a true FR?
I didnt say bust. But with his testing numbers you would think he would absolutely dominate. He was only good. He was not a Julio, AJ Greene, Chad Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Jeremiah Smith, Andre Johnson. He wasnt even as good as Mali was as a Freshman. My point is that smaller guys who are absolute blazers are typically overdrafted, overrated and overpaid. I fully expect Lennear and Monshun Sales to be more productive than Royal even if he has the best combine numbers.

It’s not about just individual stats. Guys with that type of speed change the way you can call an offense and how a DC can scheme against you as well.

6' 205 isn't small. Though more of a RB builds than a WR.

He is gonna want beaucoup bucks. I dont think he plays as fast as these super elite times indicate. I do not view him as a Brysen Wright level prospect. Let the Horns or Lane overpay for him. I think he will bust. Sometimes these super burner guys are disappointing like Speedy Noil, John Ross, Xavier Worthy, Xavier Carter
When you are that much faster than everyone on the field in college, things sort themselves out naturally

Wiltfong says that LSU has confidence in flipping him and has remained a steady presence in his recruitment. However, he considers UF as the biggest threat to flip Royal at this moment; Royal is expected to be in Gainesville this weekend.

Ultimately any flip of Royal will be extremely difficult as they have done a good job of getting him into the fold and he feels like there is a lot of confidence Texas hangs onto him after talking to colleagues around the network.

He mentions Royal as similar to Brewster whereas UF is the biggest threat to flip both however flipping either won’t be easy. He expects them to stay committed especially since UT and TT have the last official visit for each of their commits.

Looks like a recent spring game judging from the stands.

I gotta respect the hustle of buying the gloves recently*, keeping this picture in the tuck, have folks thinking you are going to flip or shutdown your recruitment on your birthday, then just continue trolling and keeping them guessing as usual.

We good with Lennear and Woodard. It’s gotta be an emotional drain, plus time-consuming, to have to consistently recruit your supposed 5* leader of the class like that.

*I cannot tell if he actually made the visit for the UF game last year; could have gotten the gloves then.

Mario is such a savage that I could care less if this kid came here. A 5* receiver that we would have been losing our collective minds over in the BM (Before Mario) era, and now he couldn't be more irrelevant.

I wasn't around in the 80's and I was just a young chap in the 90's, but if this is what it felt like back then, then I am grateful and looking forward to my first trip around the sun.

I'm about 99% sure this kid hasn't bought any team gear from anywhere since he was a Freshman in High school.

Ahhhh, the 80’s.
Man, I was a ****iest, insufferable prick out there.
And it was glorious.

Maybe, maybe not. Couldn’t care less about other teams’ gear and that is irrelevant to my comment. Talking about UM only.

Not like team gloves are an expensive buy for a guy like him. . . Nor is it like we have been recruiting him that much, has he flashed those gloves beforehand, or has he taken multiple visits to The U.

We probably sent them to him like we do for nearly every player we recruit & offer.

I'm gonna go on record & say Easton Royal ends up as an Elite WR & get drafted in 1st round.
I'm not sure I'd classify him moving forward as a wide receiver particularly. I think he will be elite. But I think he'll be used like Mali and be an elite playmaker. Kid is an OC wet dream.
