You think maybe he’s locked into a bad deal that has him feeling trapped so he stayed? If you think about it, he could’ve cashed in in the portal, but stays there…

I just wonder sometimes when guys choose to stay somewhere that’s not best for them.

He also punched Bama players multiple times during that game. Idc about the not wanting to come out of the game but can't be punching people and disrespecting your coach like that.

We'll see how it plays out but I don't think a GM would risk a 1st round pick on this guy. Freak talent for sure but it's not like he's lighting up the field when he's out there and then all the other "stuff". He's better off taking whatever NIL he can get and then spend next year showing it on the field that he's actually good at football.

Has to be relationships he built and he is getting paid well, has to be the relationships if I had to guess
 
USCe is probably having the come to jesus conversation with him right now.

the real reason they went with an “indefinite suspension” instead of straight kicking him off the team

I also think what is weird is it seemed like (aside from him punching the bama player) the crux of the issue started when they sent a kid in the game to tap out Stewart, Stewart then set that guy back to the sideline, coach (unsure which one) grabbed the player and turned him around like f no you going in and you could see the kid toss his hands and sag his shoulders like wtf man he aint coming out, then the coach got on his ***, got in his face, pulled him out, and that is when he went and sat on like the opposite end of the bench away from everyone before a different GA or someone came and grabbed him and brought him back into the commotion.

So it clearly seemed like the coaches took issue with them wanting to sub out and him saying f no. I always thought it was a little weird last year when they would try to sub for Bain or Messidor and I once saw Bain literally two hand shove (I think Blount) back to the sidelines. I never saw our coaches flip **** nor did I see it change so they much have trusted the players enough to say when they needed a breather but if that is what he did here (send a kid back to the sideline who is trying to sub him out) I dont think it even makes a story on page 4 of espn...

The press release read like Beamer is trying to blame the $EC for the suspension. Folk were saying that Beamer was toast because he had to either:

1. Suspend Stewart and lose him permanently.
2. Give him a slap on the wrist and lose the team.

Either option would get him fired.

Looks like he found a third route (end result of being fired unlikely to change though).
