his pocket awareness is like anti-Morris.

also, he doesn't look as fast as Gibson. but who is?

how is the competition level up there?

An that list was put out around the sametime as he received his UM offer, an cnsidering UF hadn't even offered him but they made his Top3 while UM had makes me a little Leary of this commitment. Especially if UF comes calling late.

Committing to the Hurricanes may have taken some by surprise. According to 247 Sports, his top offers were from the Florida Gators,

He was offered by UF after going to thier Jr day so the one talking about Ohio St is old I guess thats where the confusion is coming from
 
Lawson says he should be labeled a soft Hurricane commitment for now.

"I'll decide for sure in October," he said. "I'm still going to take my visits this summer, will visit Tennessee and Ohio State and Ole Miss maybe."
 
Bro relax as I said that list was from Feb an he put out a Top 3 back then that didn't include UM, even though he had a UM offer. So don'y yell at me in text, when I clearly outlined my point. This kid obviously wanted UF first, but who knows what happened so he is saving a seat at the table with Miami. I doubt that UF offer is committable which is probably why he chose UM.

Am I crazy? Haven't seen him live but from the film he doesn't look like a project at all. Throwing motion is quick and compact, and he stands tall in the pocket and appears to progress through reads. What does he need to work on more than any other high school qb?

What I would be more interested in knowing is his family situation. Kaaya made enormous strides from last spring to now, but his parents were able to send him to work with top qb coaches. If this kid is able to do that he could arrive pretty well tuned IMO.

Hopefully Tiano commits also, I have feeling his commitment would be solid from day 1 to NSD.

Don't want Tiano or Parr.

Take Lawson, and if we want a 2nd go hard after Francois.


Gibson heading to Tennessee or Auburn, watch.

QB not a priority. Don't need many this year. 1 would do, 2 is icing on cake.

Plus the prospects for 2016 we are in running for. You will be pleased.

They play in 6A football. Very competitive here in Tampa. Here is the District.

DISTRICT 8
(9 schools)
Armwood (Seffner) - State Runner-up, likely to go back to State. Rivals #3 player goes there
Blake (Tampa) - 2016 standout DE Shavar Manuel attends
Chamberlain (Tampa)
Hillsborough (Tampa) - Produces D1 talent
Jefferson (Tampa) - Produces D1 talent on the regular. Some kid named McCord was pretty decent there. Their QB signed with UF last year
King (Tampa)
Leto (Tampa) - Horrid. Football program should be folded.
Lennard (Ruskin)
Robinson (Tampa) - Solid program. Made a run in 2012
 
UF did offer him but it just wasn't commitable yet. Francois is the #1 QB from Florida on UF's board. Pete can correct me if I'm wrong but Lawson isn't even the starting QB on his 7-on-7 team.
