It’s been reported that Waters landed on his ankle during practice. We don’t. I don’t buy this story about Mali getting hurt in practice Wednesday. Offensive starters play the defensive scouts who don’t even tackle the offensive players. Yes, you might have defensive 1’s vs offensive 1’s at times but nobody is tacking to the ground. It’s why players don’t typically get hurt in practice.
I think Mali has been battling the ankle injury and decided to have the surgery now rather than later. Probably waited last minute to make the call. We don’t need to win this game.
We do have many injured players. I’m not saying we shouldn’t practice and hit during practice. What I’m saying yes we have to be smart about those decisions and who they are made about.Apparently people don’t know these guys don’t hit live in practice. If they did, you’d have an entire team full of injured players.
As the Ghosts of the Captain of the Titanic, along with my buddy the Commander of the Hindenburg next to me,.. We concur, good Sir.That is my point and I standby it.
It wasn't even a contact injury. From all the reports, he jumped up for a ball and rolled it when he landed.Because none of our Smart folks on this website has asked it. Just in a way being sarcastic.
When you do things the way you always done, you can expect to get the same results or worse.
Exactly. The practices we had on Greentree back in the day were legendary. It's what made our teams so great.Apparently the OP is unfamiliar with practice protocol at Greentree.
Ehh I heard Indiana doesnt even practice like that and they won a Natty last yearExactly. The practices we had on Greentree back in the day were legendary. It's what made our teams so great.
100 percent. Establishing a tough, gritty, team-first culture requires everyone to practice hard. No exceptions, no favoritism. That culture is a big reason for our recent success. There may be tradeoffs, like the Toney injury, but no individual player is more important than maintaining the culture that got us here. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t cheer when our team was the most physical in the playoff last year than this year say why are we practicing so hard lol.
Per D$, unintentionally Waters landed on Toney’s ankle. It wasn't even a contact injury. From all the reports, he jumped up for a ball and rolled it when he landed.
It could have easily happened walking to class and stepping off an elevated surface and rolling it.
You're right you asked a dumb question
