Plus:

+Larkin: Great game. Another ho-hum 25 points. I was so sure his last 3 was going in.

+Kadji on Offense: Hit some big shots inside and outside. Finished with 17 and 10.

+Scott Driving the Lane: He was unstoppable. Then they went away from it.

+TMJ: Finished with a solid contribution of 12 points. He's not always looked to for point production, and at best a 4th option. So when he can drop 10+, it's a good night from him.

+Fighting 'till the End: UM went on 10-3 run after those **** slapped the floor. Their anuses had to be clenched so tight at the end.

Minus:

-Refs: Jokes.

-Ryan Kelly is a Flopping ******: The worst.

-Kadji on Defense: Ryan Kelly just hit another 3.

-Gamble: Did he even play? We might've won had he made the team flight.

-Reggie: The only reason I knew he played was from all the time's he flubbed chances within 2 feet of the basket.

Was happy with our teams FT and rebounding.

I was not happy about throwing up 3s, we were killing them to the hole and settled for quick 3s to many times.

this is one of thsoe angry losses... that we let it go.... We will rebound from this...

Reggie needs to walk home from NC.

His buddies bust their butts and he plays like a puss!!

We're 36-47 from the FT line the last 2 games, which is amazing considering what we were shooting before.

I'm confused as to why Coach L kept Reggie on the court so late, he looked flat out AWFUL.

My only guess is that he usually is more of an offensive threat than Gamble, and maybe he felt Duke would pay more attention to Reggie, leaving others open or in 1 on 1 situations.

Major Plus

+Our offense, experts and announcers were raving about how Duke was a top 5 defense with Ryan Kelly and we absolutely tore them apart. We had some bad shots, but Shane and Durand were getting to the hole whenever they wanted, which looks really good considering teams were starting to shut down Shane driving in our poor playing streak lately.

My thoughts:

+ Our effort: We came to play today, and we played hard for the entire game. Even when we got down 10 late, we never quit, and we almost came back to win the game. I'm proud of how we played.
+ Driving to the hoop: We did a very nice job of getting into the lane and of finishing around the rim. Larkin, Scott, and Kadji were tremendous at attacking tonight; we need to keep this up for the rest of the season.
+ Our reputation: Even though we didn't win, how we played proved that we are for real. Of course, we all knew that, but we won't be hearing that from the media anymore.

- Catching the ball: We had three turnovers in crunch time where the ball went right through the hands of players (twice with Johnson, once with Brown). Reggie also had another pass hit him in the hands and bounce right off for a turnover earlier in the game. That's not good.
- Reggie Johnson: I don't know what's wrong, but he just doesn't look right out there. The effort is there, but he looks a step slow, and he's not finishing on offense. No points, four fouls, and four turnovers just isn't good enough. He's talented, he's big, and he should be imposing his will on offense, not getting shots blocked by guys who are shorter than him. He can play better, and we need him to play better if we're going to go far in the Tourney.
- Kadji's defense: Kenny had a great game on offense, and he faced a tough task on defense in stopping Ryan Kelly. I don't think anyone could have stopped Kelly the way he was shooting the ball, but Kadji made it easy for him by leaving him to help on more than a few occasions. All it took was one wrong step and Kelly got open... and it happened over and over again. Kadji had to know not to leave him, no matter what.

I'm torn on whether to give our last possession a minus. I'd have liked to see us (1) go for the quick two and then foul, or (2) use our last timeout to set up a play. We did, however, end up with two pretty decent looks from downtown to tie the game, so I can't argue too much with that.

The biggest unspoken with Duke is that their guards are PUTRID man on man defenders. Just not that quick laterally and they open the door to the lane repeatedly.

+ Scott's play. He seemed to be a bit off his game the past few games. Kid came to play today. Had a great game!

+ Everybody except Reggie. Wasn't a perfect game by any means, but everybody with the exception of one contributed. No quit in this team.

+ Kadji's offense. May have been a step behind Kelly all night (p.s. nobody was stopping Kelly tonight), but Kadji is a force to be reckoned with offensively. Top 15 draft pick.

- Reggie. He has gone from a 2nd rounder at the start of the season, to undrafted and headed to Europe.

We've made a lot of those quick 3a this year though. In fact we made quite a few in the epic 27 pt beat down of Duke the first time.

This was just a great game & Kelly was unstoppable. Most teams lose by at least 20 pts against a ****ed off Duke team, at home, shooting lights out.

Might help, very few fast food places and in general, people walk and take public transportation everywhere.

Too late for all that. He is going to balloon once he is out of college.

He blew millions with his lack of commitment this year.

They should have put him in the UTough program in the off season.

Kelly might have flopped but it worked and refs call that 99% of the time...we blew our chances time and time again, throwing the ball away. larkin throwing up errant 3s at the wrong time..reggie looking he needed a snickers bar...and Kelly played his *** off...period, hate of the refs pick on a kid that just went loco on you...we lost to a solid team in a very hostile environment...take and except the loss and lets see what this team does in Post play...my guess rematch in acc

We lost to a lesser team last night. Kelly doesn't blow up and we beat them handily.

I'm not going to call them a lesser team per se, they were emotional, especially getting their star player back, and that building wanted revenge. We didnt wilt, in fact, after their little floor slap episode, we went on a tear. They know they got a little lucky in that one. Steel sharpens steel, I think both teams get better because of that game. Any doubt that we are a good team was erased last night.

Agreed. It took a miracle game by a guy who hadn't played in two months to beat us on their home floor in a game which they had circled on their calendar for over a month. I think that says a lot about how good our team can be. Even with all that, if Reggie so much as shows up, we win.
