Duke Johnson To The NFL

He deserves it. On the cusp of breaking the all time rushing record at Miami with one year of eligibility, and he has had some pretty tough injuries so it's not like he's played in every game. That makes it all the more impressive. Duke bleeds orange and green.

He should go and cash in before he gets injured. Now would be the time for him to leave. he is healthy. Get a paycheck.

Admins and corches literally sucked the hope away from this man fulfilling a lifelong dream of putting the U on the map. How do these ***** sleep at night

Suck with the Duke. Suck without the Duke.

Hope he gets paid because he's a true Cane. But as far as helping or hurting the team for next year, it really doesn't matter unless you care about having 5 losses as opposed to six.

ni gga we cursed.

Congrats to the Duke. Time to get paid and some real coaching!

As far as the rb position, does it really matter? Until this fat ******* is gone, none of it matters.

there are a lot of issues here at the program and with al, but the kid was and should be gone whether we were 12-0, 0-12 or 6-6.

Period. Stop with fake arguments when there are enough real ones.

Thanks for everything Duke. you and the hope of Brad are all we have had.

Best wishes to The Duke of Dade! I personally haven't cared for the NFL over the past few years, but I'm gonna be a fan of whoever drafts him. He could've went to any college in America but stuck with Miami. Thanks for everything Duke!!

the 1 position we will never be hurting at is running back. where do you think Duke projects to go? 3rd-4th round?

You mean aside from last year after Duke went down?

you gonna blame me because fat al decided to not recruit running backs until Duke was gone? only corch in the history of miami football that didn't have a backup plan at RB.

Miami's Duke Johnson hasn't made stay-or-go decision.

Miami running back Duke Johnson has rushed for 1,431 yards and 10 touchdowns this season.

Miami junior tailback Duke Johnson, who is on the verge of setting the school's career rushing record, told reporters Monday he has accomplished everything he can in college but still hasn't decided whether he will turn pro. Johnson, a Miami native, said last month that his mother will play a big role in his decision. He reiterated that Monday, saying he and his mom will talk after this week's game against Pittsburgh about his degree status and his draft position. He also said he will ask the NFL Draft Advisory Board for input.

Johnson (5-foot-9, 206 pounds) has rushed for 1,431 yards this season and is 41 yards shy of breaking Ottis Anderson's school rushing record; Anderson had 3,331 yards from 1975-78. Miami has two games left, including a bowl, and Johnson is 323 yards away from breaking Willis McGahee's single-season rushing record of 1,753 yards, set in 2002.

This season, Johnson already has passed, among others, Lamar Miller, Frank Gore, McGahee, Clinton Portis and Edgerrin James on Miami's career list.

Johnson has had six 100-yard games this season, and his 88-yard performance in last Saturday's loss to Virginia was his lowest output of the season. He didn't score against the Cavaliers, snapping his streak of games with touchdowns at nine.

NFL Media analyst Bucky Brooks wrote earlier this month that Johnson "could be a better pro prospect than some of the bigger names garnering the headlines at the position."

Want nothing but the best for Duke. Young man is Hurricane through and through. Time for him to go to the bank.
