Is Michael Thompson for sure visiting?
Pretty sure he is, along with Briggs.
Carson, Briggs, Thompson...need at least one
Need at least 3 of those.
0% chance

I highly doubt DJack will be the same player next year. That'd be a quick turnaround for a torn ACL
He wasn’t a world beater to begin with.
He’s a solid situational player. Depending on him to play 60 snaps a game coming off a torn ACl is foolish.
Lucky that Willis didn't play this past season or he wouldve left early too.
Nesta Silvera is an instant impact player if he starts he's going to dominate out the gate. And Jon Ford is a beast as well.
Willis, Bethel, Silvera, and Ford is a dominant inside group of DTs... yall whining *** babies were just talking **** saying Norton hasn5 don **** all year and RJ tailed off at the end of the season so why are y'all crying now???
Still beating FSU, still winning the coastal, not worried.

Because Norton and McIntosh are our best DTs. You don't want to have to rely on a true freshman DT either.
And oooh, the Coastal. Is that the standard now? Winning our trash *** division?
We are at 59 as of 1-3-18. This includes The three departures this week and does not include the two DT's rumored to be leaving. Add the 19 signed a few weeks ago and we're quickly up to 78 not counting Willis so technically at 79.
I expect one of the QB's to hit the road and at least one OL as well so we could be looking at an additional four spots with RJ and Norton perhaps bolting.
Bottom line, we have plenty of room to sign a few more elite players-4 star or greater. I don't want projects. So if we can't land difference makers, save a few spots for next cycle.
currently have 78 with recruits after departures
but ok
It’s 79, unless you aren’t counting Silvera yet.
Your numbers are off. After the 4 departures this week (Gordinier, Fines, Owens, Johnson), adding the 20 commits, and including Willis (which I don't know why anyone would exclude him because he was actually enrolled and on scholarship this season), we are at 79. If you want to exclude Silvera because he isn't signed yet then, the number is 78.
That leaves us with 6 open spots to fill as of this moment (i.e., a class of 26). Our maximum number for the class is 28 (give or take 1).
My hope would be to see Norton and McIntosh stay, and the following guys take a hike:
1. Shirreffs
2. Jahair Jones
3. Milo
4. McCray
5. Knowles
6. Gray
If all of those guys leave then we won't be able to get to a full roster of 85 scholarships for the 2018 season (unless we award scholarships to a few walkons that have been enrolled for more than 2 academic years.).
Isn't it hypocritical as **** to, in one breath, say McIntosh and Norton should stay and the next here's 6 kids who can kick rocks?
dumb decision if they indeed go pro. they aint even ready for that level yet and will sell themselves like a $10 hooker. instead choose to come back, refine your skills, and get 1/2 round money
Yep. We will win big next year with better QB play, and our D line will have their ears pinned back all year. Big mistake leaving now.
Win big?
We’ll be fortunate to win 9 games.
We would have won 11 games this past year with Rosier at QB had the Ark State game been played. Do you honestly think we'll win 9 games with an easy schedule and better QB play? I don't. Better QB play will mean more points, and earlier leads. That's when a D can really tee off. All hinges on QB play. If it is better, we will win big.
Also, throw in the fact we have a couple REALLY good HBs coming in, some top WRs, and the best TE class we've ever had... We will have weapons all over the field for our next QB. Those positions can contribute early. Especially WR and HB.
9 wins? Pfft. What did you predict for the past season? 5?
And until there's at least three All-Conference type of players on the offensive line. Miami will still be knocking at the door of the CFP. Albeit they'll consistently play in the ACC championship game.We are at 59 as of 1-3-18. This includes The three departures this week and does not include the two DT's rumored to be leaving. I’m always all about what’s best for each kid. Personally, I think staying is best for RJ and Norton, but I also don’t know all their specific circumstances. For these other guys, if they want to play football, I think the best thing for them is to leave. Recognize also that some of these guys already got their degree, so the school has no further obligation to them.
The other players listed above are needed on the scout team and what not.Lucky that Willis didn't play this past season or he wouldve left early too.

Schedule isn't hard next year.
H: FSU, UNC, Duke, Pitt, FIU, SAV
A: LSU, VT, BC, GT, UVA, TOL
Looks like 10-2 shouldn't be out of the question.
That is an easy schedule.
Only games that we might be dogs in are FSU, LSU and VT.
Nine wins should actually be a given.
considering how we played on the road this year im terrified of that schedule. better win all of the home games
Valid point.
Why are visiting Toledo again?
Silvera & Willis will start
Don't blame the players, blame the system.
These guys should be able to declare and still be eligible to play college ball if they aren't drafted or aren't drafted high. The risk should be on the NFL teams for drafting underclassmen. If they don't like where they were drafted, they can decide to come back and play college to improve their draft stock. What also would work if that if they decide to come back, it will be easy to get an insurance policy because they have already had an NFL team show interest in them.
But then again, the players are just pawns in this system to be bought, sold, and hung out to dry if they make a wrong decision (Joe Yearby).

As long as we have this type of **** depth on the lines.......................yes that is the realistic standard. This is why it's so **** frustrating and laughable to hear the rah rah next man up speeches that continue after 15 year of unacceptable horse**** from this football program. It's one thing to be soft shouldered, it's another to have proper awareness of your surroundings and the current landscape of college football, then translate it to whether or not we are ready to compete. I realize getting back to dominance is a process, but there are already some alarming trends creeping their ugly head with this staff from a big picture outlook and roster building phase. NSD isn't here yet and things can change, but if the roster stays as constructed either Coach Kul will prove to be a true talent developing god or we will be sitting here a year from now still ****ed off and still making excuses about why we can't get to where we want to be......................cause on paper the DL depth looks atrocious and you just can't win big that way.
