Don't sleep on Bethel, he will be a SR in '19. Patchan might still be here as well as a RsSr.

Things were looking pretty bleak at DT before the Willis instagram post and Ford's arrival at camp.

The fate of the program now depends on whether Kool convinces Norton or McIntosh to stick around for one more year.

Idk if he'll redshirt or not considering he got in a lil late, but regardless if he does, he will be a big time player for us in the coming years.

Big strong kid, with colossal natural size & great get off on the snap, Coach Kool with help him reach his full potential & develop into a monster.

Reminds me of a Michael Brockers type, big athletic DT that has a good frame & can really move.

Thing is, he's probably 6' 6+" and 290+ right now. His stature and style remind me of Big John Henderson and he's exactly wtf we need behind Norton and Moten. Hopefully, he can get his bearings, get some snaps this year and be ready to go next year. We really need him.

He essentially has a weeks work of camp. than we go to game week prep for Bethune. Its a tough call. I really wonder what the staff's approach will be with this. We are deep enough to get through Sept without him probably. Norton, RJ, Thomas, Jackson, Jackson and Harris are the best 6. Than we have Bethel, Moten, Patchan, Garvin and Johnson. Thats the best 11 probably. Ford would be the 12th. We are plenty deep. Ford is a Monster, if we are able to red shirt him that would be fantastic.
 
Red shirting him is a total waste of everyone's time. He looks like one of our starting dt next year if rj and Norton leave early. Why would we send him in against lsu with zero game experience? Stupid all around.

7 out of those 11 guys arent playing inside. Ford needs to play.

100% agree. Get him some mop up duty. If he ends up being great, he will leave after three years either way so might as well get him some reps this year.

Absolutely, but all those DEs are excellent. You also have to take in account situational football. Thomas and D Jackson are big enough to play inside on 2nd and 3rd and longs. Diaz is going to have to be creative. I'm not advocating Red shirting Ford, hopefully he steps in and earns a spot. Makes us even more potent.

I don't know what he's listed at but djack looks bigger than bethel. He possibly could slide in to dt next year

Pete, what is your assessment of Ford as a DT prospect? I know many have said he has good potential but what do you think his ceiling is? Could he be on the level of McIntosh or Norton?
