DT & DE Portal Targets?

He had a 91 pff pass rush grade on true pass sets generating but on only 32 snaps. Generated 9 pressures for a passrushproductivity of 16.7%, and a winrate of 30%. Again limited snaps, but those are the true pass rush reps...

Their next edge had a 77.6 grade on true rush snaps with a 21% winRate and a 11.2% passrushproductivity rate... and that is Deni Dennis-sutton who is expected to be like a late day 2 pick


BUT imo his market is far too strong for his actual proven production and probably not a great value:risk ratio imo.
And again idk why sub 250lb guys would be real high priority targets anyways. Lightfoot is that dude. And Pickett has shown flashes enough I'd like him as the backup in that type of role. We need more 260lb type of EDGEs who can stop the run and pass rush. Obviously that's what everyone wants but that needs to be the priority.

Unless this dude is expected to put on another 10 lbs and really step up as a run defender. Cause he was basically PSUs worst graded Run defender at EDGE last year...

To me if you factor in NIL, I'm going for other guys.

Well it depend on money, which I dont really know. Also depends how much we expect to spend at S/Nickel and what the plan with Blount actually is. Regardless imo if you just look at the top portal Dlineman, it's the guys that are >250lbs that I'd be looking more into personally. Just with our roster if Blount really is going to transition more to DT, then EDGE is a big need, specifically SDE types. Like Lightfoot, Pickett, and BOTH our EDGEs from this incoming class can play WDE. And Both Lowe and Scroggins can be utilitzed like Mesidor has been used. I imagine the plan is for Lowe to be the Bain replacement though. But still the only guys in that mold are Lowe, Scroggins, and McConathy. Need more.

But John Henry Daly from Utah, Jayden Woods, and Wendell Gregory from OKSt would prob be top 3 imo. Sahir West and J'Mond Tapp too, but they may end up being more DTs I guess? After them AJ Green from Louisville or then Adam Trick as lower level guy). TJ Bush (Cal) is probalby fine floor type adds.

I see, I would agree that it depends on how Blount develops and if Moten stays, I Moten does stay. I Like Woods and Gregory, with Bain and Mesi leaving the DE room is super young and inexperienced. If Blount moves inside u think they should prioritize a vet.

With Simpson gone they should def look for someone to replace him. Regardless if they thought he would contribute next season or would still be developing.
