2026 DT Board (2026 Edition)

Have you noticed recruitment timelines have completely changed? Unless you are recruiting a player for years, you have somewhat from the beginning of the new year until July. Roughly, that is it, now. Almost all recruits have used all their OV's. Most of your class should be filled. You keep recruiting for a flip or 2 and filling your class, but that is it. Recruiting has completely changed from in season visits with 8 to 10 months wide open recruiting.
Their is your small net, maybe 6 months of wide open recruiting now. I assume the UGA's and USC are basically done right now with 30 commits.
texas recruited derrick cooper for a month lol

but yea the timeline has changed.

Anyone know if Domata Pekos son is any good? He’s a 3star 6’3” 310lbs and plays at Oaks Christian. Is going to Colorado cause his Dad is DL coach there. But rumors Deion may be stepping down… and I doubt is there next yr regardless…

Edge was also a very small net this yr compared to the past…Not quite as big a need as DT. But still, there is no reason for JT not to land a couple good edges each year.

We are supposedly out of it for A. Jones, not even mentioning us anymore. Besides a couple of kids that we supposedly had on the back burner, Lafayette, and Morgan

We already counted Wilson as a DT, but he's likely a swingman

We brought 4 DE/edge for visits. We had no prayer on Okpala…And one of the 4 (Wilkes) had to cancel…And one committed, Charles...Again, don't understand the small net at a couple of positions.
Blue bloods have figured out our bags, Guidry snitched

Gaby is saying to keep an eye on this FAU commit who is getting some P4 offers:

The 2026 defensive lineman from Naples (Fla.) St. John Neumann landed three Power Four offers in a single day. Those came from Florida, Michigan State and Syracuse. It’s a major leap for the 6-foot-5, 285-pound prospect who has only been playing football for three years after moving from Haiti as a freshman.

During his junior season at Golden Gate High, Sainteus recorded 71 tackles (48 solo), seven tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. It was during the spring, however, when major programs started taking notice.

“For spring ball, that was an amazing game for me,” Sainteus told Gators Online. “My film was crazy, so they’ve been watching me a lot since that game. I had some pretty good tackles. I was doing good this summer too at camps like FAU and FIU, so they’ve been checking on me a lot. They believe in me and gave me the offer.”

a kid like this is likely gonna be controlled by the hc or trainer or hanger ons. Because im quite sure his family doesnt have a clue.

I guess gotta hope the school coach is cane friendly..knowing naples ...i doubt it.

Curious as how he made it alllllll the way up to a Wisconsin Football camp and a FAU Camp, but crickets on the Miami camp attendance . You definitely hit it on the head about her is being guided.
