He has a good pedigree and has received some good technical training, but definitely needs a redshirt year in a college S&C to unlock the physical potential based on body type. He still seems raw given the level of resources provided to him. High Floor type of talent, which could cost a lot more as a transfer portal DT in 2 years.

Gooden told 247Sports he remained "committed to UCLA" and he is eager to see how things play out while also knowing other schools are reaching out and he will speak to some of them. He does not have any visits set up.

According to sources, Miami, Ohio State and Penn State each reached out to Gooden, and/or a member of his camp within hours of the decision. Also, Georgia Tech extended an offer after a conversation with him.

In the next few days he will meet with his coach, Jeff Moore, and speak to his agent and family. His agent, Jody Branion, attended Tabor and also represented DeShaun Foster during his NFL career.

Gooden committed to the Bruins on July 10, and sources said it came with a strong NIL/revenue sharing deal that is now in question and could be at the discretion of the new coach.

A true 260? If not, what is he weighing and more importantly who are we up against here? I don’t know the competition but looks like a big powerful athlete. He’d probably be a guy they can chess piece a little bit with which I’m a fan of.
 
He looks like he is built in the Bain/Mesidor/Blount mold of big DE. Would pair perfectly with Charles. Get me him and Tank Jones and we're cooking.
