If we're willing to ride w/ him through his learning curve, then yes. If we're looking to continue the ascent we're on, then no. Too risky, imo.

These dudes make me nervous. Where’s the P5 comp? At least with Jayden Craig there’s draft grades which eases the comp concerns. Don’t have it hear.

Against The only legit teams he played -

4 TDs 6 picks and below 60% completion.

Those teams? USF and Tulane
Ding ding ding. When he looks good it looks great but then again people are still lobbying for Bailey and he looked like **** vs Miami/ND so where’s the difference?

Ward also looked great against better comp so

It’s normally just a matter of being overmatched.against more talented teams. Just look at Cam Ward in the NFL. Is he suddenly trash or does he have an awful OL and pieces around him? It’s like when people say “ said coach doesn’t beat Ohio State or really good teams “. Yeah , nobody beats them that’s why they’re really good teams. Evaluating qb is the hardest position to judge because physical matters but there’s a lot more to it. Processing things quickly being the most important. If you place a guy like this in our offense with the surrounding cast he’d eat .

Absolutely cannot argue against his production. He was in an Air Raid system and threw intermediate routes with accuracy. Perfect fit for Dawson like Bailey and Pat Mahomes 2.

Can CJ Bailey cut down on the INT? Can Mestemaker translate to P4? These are the unknowns. Pat Mahomes 2 probably the least concern

Kevin O'Connell has said many times that organizations fail QBs more than QBs fail organizations. It's true in the NFL and also now true in college. There is zero patience for development anymore, even when you look at guys like Josh Allen and even see the jump Caleb Williams made this year. Cam Ward was put into an awful situation—as most highly drafted QBS are—and I hope he gets a good coach and talent around him.
