Dream scenario: Blake James to Richt: hire an OC or move on.

I know I'm oversimplifying things here as there are buyouts and other contractual complexities but at the end of the day, if you tell a guy that changes must be made and he tells you to GTFO he knows what he's doing, you fire him. Otherwise, you have basically neutered yourself in the eyes of the entire athletic department.

And at the end of the day if James buys Richt's explanation of our offensive woes and agrees he just needs more time he should be fired immediately. Not sure Frenk cares enough about athletics but this isn't rocket science, we had FSU on down year, and UiF stumbling a bit and squandered any chance to separate our program in recruiting and in actuality we have taken a bigger hit with recruits.

Can someone edit the thread title to indicate that's the OP's wish, and not something that actually happened?

The only way Blake could tell mork that is if he untaped his balls from his buttocks

It’s important that content on this news aggregator is parsed and titled appropriately. Op Ed’s should have their own secondary location, like a message board forum.

Why the he11 would he resign when he could dare BJ to fire him and walk away with upwards of 10million+ at the least??

.. he maybe delusionally stubborn but he ain't stupid.

Question, let's say Richt hires a Whipple type OC and that turns out worse than ever, now
what do you do?You hire the very best, great, but the U has hired alot of retreads.

Someone has to write the check for a new coach. It’s also better to fire for performance rather than not hiring a coach.
Performance? Like.. Idk.. Those of Searels & Jon? A coach can't miss on all their targets, have the players they're responsible for suspended or transfer, while those remaining show no signs of improvement.
Its pretty bad when the debate has shifted to "is Richt's offense worse than No D's defense". Those are serious performance issues.

Dream scenario: Blake James gets caught stealing funds from the treasury. Richt gets run out of town by our new, ruthless AD.

That's simply not how it works at most programs though. A coach will usually* get a year to continue his stubbornness. Then based off that result he's either canned or has to relent to changes.

I'm not saying it's right or that's how we should proceed but prepare your sphincters for possibly 2 more years of this saga. Worst case is we suck next year. They don't fire Rick but force him to make staff changes (or he does it on his own as a preemptive *** saving)....and those changes suck. THEN we make the big change.
