Edit: wanted to give full eye roll experience.

How's this - Dorsey can be Kiffins OC, when Kiffin wins a natty in a couple years and leaves for the NFL, Dorsey can take over. That should satisfy the "Kiffin wont stick around" crowd.
No more Coker/Shannon/Manny scenarios. I think it would go like this:

Kiffin hired. Dorsey hired as OC. They win a title next year and Dorsey gets hired to be USF HC. Kiffin stays another two years and wins 3 straight titles. Dorsey has 2 straight 10 win seasons at USF and is hired to replace Kiffin once he bolts to NFL.

Last time I saw Dorsey, he was Ast Coach for the Lakewood Ranch high school Mustangs over here on the west coast when my middle son was playing for the Tarpons.

He may actually go for an oc position. Never mentions the HC job specifically
You are right. The article specifically says he would be interested if “a” job opened up.

Per the Sun Sentinel, Buffalo quarterbacks coach Ken Dorsey, who attended Miami and won a National Championship as a member of the Hurricanes in 2001, could be interested if a job opens up.

I’ve said before, Dorsey is the one former cane I’ve always wanted to be on staff here. Would be thrilled to give him his first OC job.

There’s no way Dorsey legitimately thinks he would be a candidate to make the jump to HC of Miami from his current position right now. Not in a time when we desperately need someone with experience running the show more so than ever. Every one sees it, there’s no way Ken Dorsey doesn’t see it too. With that being said, I’m fine going on record saying I’d love to see him at OC here. Even with all the “Miami Bro” jest, I’m a big KD fan as a coach.

I love the idea, actually. Let Dorsey work with TVD, and Kiffin run the O, with Dorsey as his understudy. Sounds like a great idea to me.

so were about to fire an inexperienced HC to hire an even less experienced coach in whole? LOL tell Dorsey to kick rocks

He is another example of a guy that if he didn’t go to Miami, nobody would seriously consider him.
