We’re going to beat the **** out of those ppl tomorrow. This game reminds me of the App State game a few yrs ago. All of the Gambling Sites & TV ppl were pumping up App St the same way they’re doing UNC, and we went in there and mopped the floor with them ppl. UNC needed 15 points in the 4th quarter, 2 int from USCe, and some spectacular catches to win. UNC May be a lil better than there were the last couple of yrs but they’re not world beaters. We will win by 2 TDs or more. I repeat. We will punish those folks. Stop worrying & GO Canes

I agree that's what should happen, but it's hard not to divert back to Miami's muscle memory of (1) always struggling in Chapel Hill and (2) always finding a way to lose very winnable ACC games since joining the conference in 2004.

For whatever reason, road games in Chapel Hill are ****—and the Canes have only won three up there in seven tries.

2017 — 6-0 against 5-1 and needed a late game fumble to get out 24-19.

2013 — 5-0 against 1-4 and needed a miraculous effort from Dallas Crawford to come back form 23-13 fourth quarter deficit on a rowdy Thursday night, winning 27-23.

2011 — Faded late and almost blew a 27-3 lead; surviving 30-24.

Lost some really awful games in 2004, 2007, 2009 and 2015.

If this really is The New Miami and Diaz has these kids where their heads should be for this one—fully agree; Miami wins a 30-16 type ballgame.

That said, this is always a game the football gods seem to f*ck with the Canes—the Heels always playing above their level against Miami.

Night game. Sold out. Mack Brown era already taking hold. Yes, UM SHOULD be able to take care of these guys, but because of the WAY the Canes have lost at North Carolina over the year (falling in huge holes, untimely turnovers, struggling to find the end zone / settling for field goals, etc.)—this game is worrisome until it's in the books.

Not for me it isn’t worry some. That 2013 game Duke Johnson left the game with migraines. Remember he broke a long run in the 1st quarter. If he doesn’t get hurt we blow them out despite the big game from Ebron. We will blow them out

I keep banging the ACC officiating drum, because it's usually against North Carolina or Duke we get the worst treatment. We need to blow these guys out, or they will stick around with bogus holdings, PIs, targetings, you name it. It never fails, they call penalties against the other team when it doesn't really matter, and against us on big plays. At the end of the day, they will have 7 inconsequential penalties, and we will have 10 score erasing, drive killing penalties. That, or penalties that keep their drives going. It simply never fails.

EDIT: It could be the penalties that keep us from blowing them out. I just have a bad feeling about Mack Brown's first game back at home, and the treatment they will give him.

Well, OP certainly lives up to his username.

I'm in, but should this have started with:

I'm a little nervous, someone tell me we roll.

Home ACC opener at night..I predict something like 35-17 Miami. But regardless of that score I think it’s gonna be close and emotional game early on. Place will be packed and rocking. Probably the best turnout for that fan base all year...I’ll say this if our guys do come out early on and dominate that will say a lot about the overall leadership and focus and most importantly potential of this squad to run the table. If we don’t come out early on and dominate I won’t be surprised tho UNC will be ready to play

That App St game was awesome! Everyone and their brother was convinced we'd lose in Boone.
