37-33 against Power 5 teams under Blake James.

He might luck out and have us in a bowl game against Charlotte or Liberty.

Blake James: 7 years as Miami's athletic director.

The football program is 37-32 against power-5 teams.

The basketball program is 56-52 in ACC play with 1 sweet sixteen apprentice (i'm not giving him credit for 2012-2013, since he was hired right in the middle of it).

The baseball program missed the postseason for the first time in 44 years...and followed that up by missing it again.

apologists in the fanbase) will seek to place the blame on factors they will say is outside their control: the culture around the program, the players executing, finances, etc..

Don't let them spin it. Let's look at what we do know: this is a historically bad schedule, which, instead of hastening a return to success, or put us in a situation in which the team can build on positivity, the team has historically underperformed.

Manny makes about $3M (?) and was bought from Temple for $4M. Even with a doubtful bowl win and 7-6 record the Admin is paying $1M per victory. Maybe this type of ROI analysis could change their perspective. #kidding #ofcourseitwont

They will offer up Enos as the sacrificial lamb, to channel fan disdain into a vessel and try to toss it away.

But consider that, unlike Blake James and Manny Diaz, both unproven until promoted to their current positions, Enos has a long track record as a mediocre OC. What might it mean that Enos put up middling offensive stats in his previous jobs but was a special kind of terrible here? How is it possible that Miami 'talent', plus a relatively soft schedule, can result in one of the worst offenses in school history?

To me, it means that Enos isn't the problem. He's a symptom of the problem. Obviously, he was a poor choice from the start, but we're dealing with systemic issues here that are way beyond one coach or player.

Their hand has been forced to make some sort of change, to quiet fan discontent. They obviously want the AD to be able to tweet without getting blasted, they will want you to renew your tickets, they will want to inject some small bit of positivity into the program....

Don't go for the slight of hand. Don't trust people to fix things, who, with their sheer lack of competence, have degraded the program to new lows. Don't trust the blind man who leads you into peril to lead you to safety.

Don't let them change the narrative by giving you some small concession. Do nothing to support them, or the program. Hate them with every fiber of your being, starve them out, until they are gone.
