They will offer up Enos as the sacrificial lamb, to channel fan disdain into a vessel and try to toss it away.
But consider that, unlike Blake James and Manny Diaz, both unproven until promoted to their current positions, Enos has a long track record as a mediocre OC. What might it mean that Enos put up middling offensive stats in his previous jobs but was a special kind of terrible here? How is it possible that Miami 'talent', plus a relatively soft schedule, can result in one of the worst offenses in school history?
To me, it means that Enos isn't the problem. He's a symptom of the problem. Obviously, he was a poor choice from the start, but we're dealing with systemic issues here that are way beyond one coach or player.
Their hand has been forced to make some sort of change, to quiet fan discontent. They obviously want the AD to be able to tweet without getting blasted, they will want you to renew your tickets, they will want to inject some small bit of positivity into the program....
Don't go for the slight of hand. Don't trust people to fix things, who, with their sheer lack of competence, have degraded the program to new lows. Don't trust the blind man who leads you into peril to lead you to safety.
Don't let them change the narrative by giving you some small concession. Do nothing to support them, or the program. Hate them with every fiber of your being, starve them out, until they are gone.
