Most plausible scenario is that the board pushed to fire Golden but Shalala refused .Thats where Geo's info may have been partially correct. Indirect evidence of this is the Shalala interview on Local Ch 6 2 days ago where she talked about the football team explaining her decision to keep Al Golden. It was an attempt to address the public and do an end around the BOT.

I think you are reading that wrong. Shalala won't object if termination is decided. She won't initiate it but she won't object. Her and the BoT aren't on the same page anymore. The whole episode is chaotic beyond anyone's imagination.
