Great thread. God hope it's true. Hopeful bc you would have heard about staff changes by now., but nothing which means things may have escalated.

Blake told me last year he was a butch supporter (he was here when butch was here). He also mentioned that a small group of people would decide about a new coach and not full BOT (this was when golden was potentially going back to PSU). I know for a fact that some BOT members hate Butch but not sure if they have enough sway.

Butch has apparently realized how much he screwed up, so he wants to make it as easy as possible for the BOT to bring him back. He can renegotiate later.

And Art. I know some don't like him, but all his past kids I have heard speak well of him. Also did a great job this year considering all the injuries.

He's one of the worst playcallers we've ever had....Coley HAS to go or at the very least cannot be the one coordinating the offense.

I would fire Ice Harris and agree to never recruit BTW again, if it meant adding Soldinger as RB coach. That man can coach but he is ornery - he doesn't need the $ so he comes with the truth, bridges be damned.

It isn't too late, we need to ALbort. Imagine FatAL coaching in 2015 and tell me you would prefer that as opposed to a late firing.

Let's say in the scenario hypothetically. If Al were to be fired and we bring on Butch.

I don't think Coley would do a lateral move like that. Probably would have to cut him loose. Which I'm fine with from a playcalling point of view.

I love Don, he was one of my favorite coaches back in the day and toughened those kids up to make them great, but the RB coach needs to be a heavy recruiter because the position itself is not the most difficult to coach when compared to OL, QB, CB, etc. For that reason, i would stick with Ice if he would remained on staff.
